I binged this show almost completely blind and on edibles. Gotta say, it hits different like that. The sheer amount of worldbuilding packed into these ten episodes is mindblowing. I learned more about the Cyberpunk 20** world watching this show than I did playing 2077, and enjoyed this a helluva lot more.

That series got spoiled for me left and right ... I knew who dies and how ... I knew pretty much everything before I started watching ... and yet ... It hit like a freight train on steroids ... literally broke me into pieces and sent me crying like a little kid. ... Now a few days later I hoped to be over it ... but nope ... The song plays ... I tear up ... I see clips of the show ... I tear up ... ... Broken by a fricking10 episode show ... A true masterpiece.

Its not just a chemical addiction - it's a psychological one. Look at what ONE singular upgrade did for David. Suddenly hes running circles around shit, stealing chips for easy money. "Just a little more." "I need to get stronger." "Faster." "Maybe if I had this implant or that implant I could help out my crew more." and it goes on. Cyberpunk is already a shitty world, so being able to make yourself feel powerful is a, indeed, powerful addiction in and of itself.

Because that’s what I wanted to do. I’m bored of the previous way I handled things. Anime reactions across the board are struggling for every creator I know in the space. I just wanted to try something different so most if not all series will be released this way outside of OP which will continue as it normally does
