I don't agree with that.... a background or interest in networking makes you a great fit for both, cloud security is network security you have to know it. Your statement will mislead people into thinking if they are interested in the cloud, they don't need networking.

9:56 Why Solutions Architect and not SysOps Administrator? AWS suggests on their site that SysOps is more appropriate for a Cloud Security Engineer. I was gonna go for Solutions Architect regardless since it's easier, but just wondering about your take :) Thanks for the video!

There's degree plans that specialize in Cyber and Networking. At the end of the day a related degree to Computer Science is what an employer is looking for as well as experience. However it will benefit you more if you get your basic certs down from CompTIA. A+, Network+ and Security+
