CYBEX Sirona Z2 i-Size Car Seat Tutorial

Looks like this has been discontinued after just 18months while cybex continue selling the infant seat (cloud z2) and base to unknowing customers thinking the base will work for the toddler seat. Be warned!

Thank you so much for your comment! Whenever we release a new product to replace an older model, we will shortly remove the older product from our portfolio. But product compatibility is not an issue, as the Base Z2 is also compatible with the Cloud T i-Size and Sirona T i-Size car seats, just as the Base T is compatible with the Cloud Z2 i-Size and Sirona Z2 i-Size. Cybex has a very confusing models breakdown. Salesperson are confused which base goes with which product and differences between some products are practicslly non existent.. very frustrating. We need to spend more money to buy a chair which goes on our base which is the same like the other model.. our base is for Cloud Z2 and Sirona Z2 does not exist, so we have to buy T model which is more expensive than G without any benefits.. shame

What is the difference between 1-CYBEX Sirona Z2 and 2- CYBEX Sirona Z1.

Only a couple of differences. The Z1 could only be turned using the handle in the middle where the Z2 can be turned using the handles on the base. The Z1 has to be in the upright position to be turned and cannot be turned whilst in the reclined position whereas the Z2 can be turned in the reclined position. Apart from that the seats are identical in all other aspects such as safety and comfort.

Hi Jennica! Linear Side-impact Protection absorbs the force of a side-impact collision in a linear series of reactions, working together with the seat's energy absorbing shell. The kinetic body energy triggered by an accident is absorbed and the head and upper body move into a safe position. Especially the child's sensitive head and shoulder area are protectively locked inside the safety zone of the seat and the forces of an accident are distributed away from the child. Force is reduced by 20-25% by the energy absorbing shell in combination with the L.S.P. Side protectors are an effective safety measure and are embedded in the CYBEX safety principles.
