Steve, I've lived up here in northern asia for 20+ years and these type of hotels are the norm up here as real estate is dense never have I heard a visitor represent these type of hotels as elequant as you have your a legend mate. I rode almost the exact same route as your doing now 15 years ago on my mountain bike in an effort to raise money for the japanese childrens cancer association we rode from seoul to busan, then took a ferry to kobe in japan and the finished in osaka. really looking forward to this series mate 🙏👍

Thanks Steve, The bus sounds a wise move. What an interesting cultural shift. I feel a peace in the midst of all the mass of people and density of city space. Hi, when I go to Fiji, I always get my teeth fixed up last time I was over there. I had to get two teeth taken out and a major filling, and it cost me $72 Australian cost you that just to walk through the door and the dentist in Australia and the good thing about all of dentists in Fiji are all Australian and New Zealand trained
@mongreldogproductions20 күн бұрын
Yeah, don’t blame you. I wouldn’t go overseas just for dental treatment but if I am overseas, and I need work done, then I’ll happily let anyone have a go. The dentist in Korea was trained in the US. Thanks for watching.

Steve you'll find most Korean cemeteries are on the slopes of hills. If you see a hill with lots of white posts it probably a cemetery.

I'm beginning to see a pattern here..since S Korea, have you gone for a "bike ride" in Syria? Leaders keep dropping off where ever you go. Here's a thought - go for a ride in Australia? Might do us all some good. I reckon the $10 bus was a great idea - far cheaper than buying an e-bike, though it looks like an e-bike may have been a good idea judging from next weeks previews. Really do enjoy your videos, thanks.

I was gunna go to the DMZ and fly my drone but decided against it. I do enjoy touring by E-Bike but unfortunately the airlines won't allow the battery on board (too many amps/Whrs or whatever the term is). Glad you enjoy the Channel content. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Yep, tunnels and long bridges made for easy transit (in most cases), but there were still some surprises. The high-density housing is on a scale I've never seen before. At least I was off the ground and not sleeping like a dog. 😀

Hi Steve. Your trip looks interesting so far. Are you on battery or was it not permitted on the plane? I found your ‘liquorice all-sorts’ room fascinating but I guess it’s fit for purpose. Thanks for the great drone shots and general videography. I’m looking forward to the next segment. 🚴🚵👍🏻🙏🦘
@mongreldogproductions19 күн бұрын
The airlines won't move the battery...too big. I didn't find that out until after I bought the bike so it's back to basics for this trip. Pity, the ebike would've been helpful on some of the steeper climbs.
@johnzee6913 күн бұрын
another thing about Bob trailers, standing up off the saddle pedaling isn't all that easy. just sit and push thru. hope you had the gearing. it doesn't appear your on your son's ebike, so your pedaling 100%. 😎👍

@@phillipdean9879 Safe, very much so. A very honest and polite society. I trust no one and are very mindful of security so I would continue to lock up my bike and trailer even if I was only a few metres away. Most times to bike was secured in motel car parks or in the room if i felt a little uneasy about the local environment. The food was ok although you don’t go to Korea for the cuisine. Next vid out in a few days. 😀
