It's definitely the Triumph Daytona 675 out of the bunch for me, but then i live in England so don't have the parts availability problem of course. To be honest i don't think you can really go wrong with any of the big hitting 600's they're all excellent motorcycles.

I also have a 2008 cbr600rr with only 14000kms which lives inside my house during wet seasons. Hondas reliability is second to none & I would highly recommend one of these bikes for anyone wishing to have fun through the hills. ALLTHOUGH...my 1999 mc22 cbr250rr (who cares about weather, bike) is actually faster through continuous hairpin twisties, im talkin' REALLY tight stuff. I enjoyed your video & purchased my 600 for the same reasons as you & once again highly recommend one of these for someone looking to have fun through hills & really nice flowing corners. All the best wishes for you & your 600 Cruza. :-)

Great choice, although I personally prefer the 2007+ cbr600rr bike, the previous gen bikes are great too, like you said you can never go wrong with a honda bike. Once you switch to a 600cc+ supersport bike you will really fall in love with riding a motorcycle, the speed is an adrenalin rush right off the line.

Hey! The cbr600rr is easy to ride because it shifts smooth and the 2007-2012 is the lightest 600cc bike available today so you can flick this bike around corners very easy and it's comfy. If you get a 2007 or 2008 you will have the fastest cbr600rr available because in 2009 they reduced the top end a little due to emissions. The 2008 cbr600rr ran the fastest 1/4 mile of any stock 600cc, even faster then the daytona 675r, the 2008 cbr600rr ran a 10:52@ 133.7 , tested by Sport Rider magazine.

thanks! I'm 6'1" but 190 lbs, fits great for me, actually fits perfect. If you've never ridden on any motorcycle I highly recommend staring off on a slower bike or get a 600 like a 2009 suzuki gsxr 600 that has the power modes where you can reduce the power.

Cool, yeah the 2007/2008 is an epic bike, arguably considered the best model year of all cbr bikes. It has the most HP and the fairings look the best. Starting in 2009 for some odd reason Honda decided to cover up the engine with a fairing.
@CycleCruza
@CycleCruza 11 жыл бұрын
I sat on all the bikes. The 2007-2012 cbr600 and gixxers were the most comfortable with the 2007-2012 cbr600rr beating out the giixxer in comfort for me. If you look at my other video I discuss the research one should do before buying the bike you want. You don't have to ride every bike to know which bike will be more suitable for you on the streets. It's actually quite common knowledge that the cbr and gixxer are the most comfortable super sport bikes when it comes to street riding.

Thanks! It's nice to hear from someone that can actually compare the CBR600rrr with the R6 legitimately (has ridden both bikes). I agree, the R6 looks hot, if I were a regular track rider the R6 could have been in my garage.

I've done many videos talking about the comfort on this bike. You will never have any wrist problems, the 2007-2013 has raised clip-ons so that means your body weight won't be on your wrists and hands. Also, the seat is comfy. I just did 500 miles on this after riding it 11 hours and 40 minutes this past saturday and I had no issues and even wanted ride some more.

Hey thanks for watching! I dig the repsol edition 13 600rr, that color scheme makes the bike look better. Bro you r the best motovloger period. I’ve watched tons of ya content and I really value your perspectives. This is the first time commenting but I’ve been a long time subscriber. Keep up the great work!! Honda really does need to give you some type of bonus or kickback. Everything u mentioned are facts. I wanna 750 so bad. I believe it’s the best of both worlds. But Suzuki reliability is a bit suspect and when you consider Honda’s reputation. They just make quality products. Yeah they may be a bit lackluster and may not have all the bells and whistles. But they work and they r built well and built for actual streetriders IMO...like u said. They r definetly the benchmark when it comes to supersports.

That's what I keep telling people and some don't believe me how awesome the 2007/2008 cbr600rr is on the streets. Thanks for your insight! I love just cruising on this bike, this bike is like a all-in-one bike for me. You can take it to the track, you can hit the twisties with ease, you can tour on this bike, you can commute and you can just cruise on this bike and it's enjoyable. I often think about getting a second bike but none compares to this bike, even the cbr1000rr lacks a gas gauge.

I'm just over 5'10 and have been riding a 2012 CBR 600RR since I bought it new two summers ago. I love it. I did get sore knees after a 14 hour ride from Vancouver Canada to a small town up north called McKenzie BC. No uncomfortableness other than that or on shorter rides. I went from a 250 CBR to the 600 in the same riding season once I got more comfortable. I chose the CBR because it had ABS and the others didn't. I felt as a new rider I liked the idea of not locking up the wheels and flipping or losing control. Since then, just loved the bike in general. I left the military and went back to go to law school so can't afford another bike until I'm done, but I'll definitely end up with a CBR 1000RR at some point, and hopefully a KTM sport 1190 and an Adventurer. I think CycleCruza is right in his other video about not starting on a 600. Start with a 250 and work up to it. If you don't control your throttle on a sport bike you can end up in some pretty bad spots pretty fast. Keep control over your throttle and don't show off. Keep both wheels on the ground.
@CycleCruza
@CycleCruza 10 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for sharing your insight! I did 12 hours str8 with only stopping for gas breaks, 500+ miles and my knees were a little sore but I rectified that by stretching my legs out while I was riding. lol I think I got a bit too comfortable on my 08 cbr600rr. haha I was going to get the cbr1000rr but it lacks a fuel gauge that I've been spoiled with on my 600rr and it doesn't have a sight glass for easy oil level checks like the 600rr has, and you will want to check the oil often on a cbr1000rr b/c they have been known to burn some oil. I figured I will not be going any faster on the cbr1000rr than on my 600rr so why waste extra money on a bike where you will never really use the extra power on public streets? The Cbr1000rr has a little more torque down low but not enough to justify an extra $3,000+. Also insurance is higher. best of luck to you!

Yeah I don't want the 1000 for street riding - I just love the bikes so much that I kind of want a vanity collection someday haha. That and I want to learn to race on the track - hopefully I'll take a course when I'm finished school. I'll learn on the 600. Definitely getting some type of dual sport / adventure style bike before I get another sport bike of any kind.

Id have to disagree with R6. I had a 2008 r6 for 3 months rode it daily for 40+mi commute. It looks great the power just sucks you in to the rev range that takes you to the moon. Now sure you really lean over but the muscles adjust after about 2 weeks. my commute is about an hour and it was fine. If it didn't get stolen I would stil ride it.

thanks for watching! Like julian roach said, you can get a 600 that has power modes, such as a 2008-2009 suzuki gsxr 600 or a 2013 kawasaki ninja 636 which has power modes, power modes will allow you to reduce the power of the bike so the bike is not as intimidating for you as a new rider. Otherwise, start on a non supersoort bike.

Thanks for watching! The gixxers are great bikes but they've had their share of recalls in the past. I haven't heard of any problems from the newly redesigned suzuki gsxr 600 and 750 for 2011 and 2012.

Sport Rider magazine clocked a a 2008 honda cbr600rr in the 1/4 mile @ 10.52, fastest 600 in the 1/4 mile to date! Honestly, the 13 zx6r's engine hasn't had time enough for it to prove itself. It's still new. However, Honda's quality and reliability is undisputed.

Hey thanks for watching! I didn't get the 2012 because I don'y care for the color schemes, not my cup of tea, also the 2007/2008 is the fastest cbr600rr of all model years. In 2009, they reduced the top end due to emissions. On top of that I got a deal for $6500 and $3500 trade in credit for my former 11 cbr250r. Also, my 2008 600rr came with all of the mods I would have probably done so that save me a good 1k.

Thanks! Yeah I would only buy used with the exception of a rare special edition for a collector's item. The 250 is a great economical bike and it's great for commuting around in the city and hitting the twisties. However, after riding a 600cc I'm love with the adrenalin rush of the power and light handling the 600cc has to offer. The 600cc bikes are light and powerful and just as fun as the 250 on the twisties, imo. Everybody has their own preference in a bike though.

"Headed ova ma girl's house!!! ..." haha, just messin' man. Great review! I found this video very helpful. I've thought about the R6's before in the past, recently brushed up on my knowledge of the Gixxer's too, but I'd have to say...honestly, the Honda CBR looks like a better all-around bike. Anything & everything you need right there for a reasonable price! Bonus points:: I can ride long-distance & be comfortable, the 2008+ CBR's look great, THAT FUEL GAUGE, & the reliability. 2013 zx6r : Slipper clutch, better low/mid power, traction control, and abs. To me, this makes it a clear winner of 2013 for a super-sport bike on the streets. All that said, the 2012- CBR600RR is easily the best way to go for a Japanese super-sport. Great vid with some solid points

I went to get a cbr600rr but ended up getting a BEAUTIFUL 06' zx6r 636 instead with undertail exhaust but never had a problem with heat, they do have a little lower clip ons than the others so your hunched a bit more, pretty damn responsive but most of power is up top for sure, no electronics whatsoever😅 even an analog speedometer, no abs, no traction/wheelie control, but I frickin love it because of all that. Such a raw and unfiltered riding experience. I get why most stunters use them. Also it's dry weight is around 360lbs which isn't bad for a 636cc. I love the cbr's but I honestly haven't found a bike that I'd trade my 636 for.

I HIGHLY recommend you either have a bike mechanic check over the bike or have it taken to a honda motorcycle dealership and pay to have their mechanic thoroughly inspect the bike before purchasing it. Call around it should cost you no more than $60-$80 for a pre-purchase checkpoint inspection. If there's anything wrong with the bike either have the seller pay to fix it or reduce the price. yeah mostly straight lines but I have hit some twisties, I did video showcasing some twisties here.The reason I love the cbr600rr is because IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT! 410 lbs WET! I don't like heavy bikes like the zx14 or Harleys.

They Look sweet, they Sound Badass, and they handle like nothing else. Not to mention how freaken comfy the 600rr is. I rode from VA to Philly with 1 pit stop (for gas).

thanks! You forgot a couple things for the 2013 zx6r 636...no built-in steering damper (Good luck with the high speed slipper tank slappers), no fuel gauge ( good luck if you forget to reset your trip timer and your low fuel light doesn't come on lol). Also, many 13 zx6r 636 owners are reporting their bike doesn't start on the furst try for some odd reason. When you add all of that electronics shiz on a bike it reduces it's long term reliability. You don't really need traction control on a 636cc

Totally agree on the Hondas man, I have a 2004 with over 24000 miles on it it had not once left me stranded, just regular maintance and care and yes the gas gauge keeps me safely riding too!

That's true! The 2007 and 2008 cbr600rr is a beast though, the 2008 cbr600rr posted faster times in the 1/4 mile then the 2011 Triumph Daytona 675r. Google it, 2008 cbr600rr ran the 1/4 mile in 10.54 @ 133.7 mph, the daytona ran the 1/4 mile in 10.61@ 132.2 mph.

Thanks! As far as the 2013 zx6r 636, the main drawback is the lack of a built-in steering damper. Without a steering damper you could get some scary tank slappers at higher speeds. Adding an Olins steering damper is a possibility at premium cost. Honestly, I don't like the look of external steering dampers and it prevents me from having access to the center triple tree hole where I mount my GPS dock. Otherwise, the bike looks like a great bike, just doesn't suit me personally.

A steering damper makes the ride more smooth and is very important to me. My 08 600rr is much smoother than the cbr250r that I had with no steering damper. My 08 600rr doesn't have any noticeable vibration. I believe honda has the only built-in electronic steering damper on their ss bikes. Suzuki's gixxer SD are hydraulic I believe.

Im a Kawasaki man, love kawi. I own my dream bike 05 zx6r (636). As soon as those bikes came out I wanted one. I think they are the best looking bikes ever made with the r6 being a close second. It helps I fit perfect on the bike, went on a 1,200 mile road trip over a weekend and wasn't really sore at all at the end surprisingly lol. I don't hate on what anyone rides as long as your riding your cool with me. I watched a video of a guy and his had over 40,000 miles and ran great.

beginning at 8:30 you touched on the "all around" capabilities of the Bike, and I'll never forget what I read in a magazine article in 1994 concerning this motorcycle, the editor mainly said just this to sum it all up:..."The CBR is the Labrador Retriever of all other street sportbikes"....and he's exactly right. They're tame, reliable, comfortable, but just as a Lab it can be aggressive when it has too...they're almost "perfect".

Bought a bike a year ago, first time since '91, was Always kawasakis, got offered a CB600RR and I was like your alright, opted for a GSF 650 Bandit, got to the shop saw the CBR600RR and thought it was a cracking riders bike! Just been sold!! Gutted. But the Bandit is the quickest best bike in the world! You could not want or need to accelerate faster and it's not even a Bandit S. B.B.B., BRING BACK BANDITS

Thanks!It was a smooth transition for me when I went from the cbr250r to the 08 cbr600rr. I was apprehensive at first when I rode the 600rr for the first time, especially b/c it was raining, at night and I was far away from my house (40 minutes away) and I had to figure out my way back home b/c I couldn't mount my GPS. I was surprised that it wasn't as scary as I thought and was actual smoother to shift and rode smoother than the cbr250r I had. Also, the weight of the bike felt close to the 250

I agree... just upgraded from CBR500r and the 600rr isn't much less comfortable. Compared to the others I've ridden (GSXR 750 and Ninja 636) the Honda has the best seating position.

You should be ok on a cbr600rr or a gixxer 600, just take it easy and respect the throttle. Both of those bikes are pretty easy to ride. If you want to travel long distance on your bike then definitely go with the cbr600rr, it has the fuel gauge and the most reliable bike of all the 600 bikes. Also, the 600rr has the under tail exhaust for a much cleaner look and out of the way.
@CycleCruza
@CycleCruza 11 жыл бұрын
You are smart by starting on a 250, it will help keep you safe and help you gain confidence and skills. Try test riding the r6 when you ready to upgrade, from what I hear it's not great on the streets, more of a track bike. With the 07+ cbr600rr, that bike is awesome for streets, best bike ever, imo, but I'm biased. lol

yeah it's great in the city for me. IMO, it's the best supersport you can get for the streets, you will not find a more comfortable supersport when it comes to riding on the street.

If you like speed... the CBR600rr. If you care more about fuel economy, get the CBR500r... it's no where near as fast as the 600, but it is quick, easy to handle, has a great seating position. I've had both, and love both, but prefer my 600 SIMPLY because it's faster.

get a used 250 for cheap off of craigslist, learn on it for a few months and then resell it for the same price you paid or near the same price and then get your dream bike. Believe me I wanted to start off with a 600rr too lol...but I knew I had to crawl before I could walk. However, if you get a 2008-2010 suzuki gsxr 600 it has power modes A-B-C, mode C cuts the power greatly reducing your risk as a beginner. Also, the gixxer has a lower seat height that may be better suited for you.

I previously had the CBR125R and agree with the reliability of Honda's. Finally on Full licence in a month (in Australia we need to wait 3.5years) before touching a 600cc. Was thinking of getting a GSXR600 but thanks for this, I will definitely go with CBR600RR, no question. it's beaut.

they redesigned the cbr600rr in 2007 from top to bottom, raised the bars, faster engine and other stuff. The 2005 600rr isn't as comfy and fast as the 2007+ 600rr but still a great bike! Nothing wrong with it though.

With the water condensation in cars a/c's and the oil on the road today is why I choose the 600 sport bike over the 900-1000+cc bikes. It's hard enough hooking up with a 600cc sport bike. The bigger motors chance a lot less room for error of the tires breaking loose! The 600's are still fun as hell/plenty fast,just my 2cents!!

Hey thanks for watching my vids and dropping a comment! If you rode a dirtbike you'll probably be fine on a street bike. I never took lessons and jumped on a bike and taught myself how to ride in literally 5 minutes later I was cruising the streets. If you have the shifting down then the rest will come to you. Read the book titled " A Twist of The Wrist." Everything you need to know in that book!

I don't know, I guess you could buy one off the internet (EBay, etc) and have it shipped. Defiantly go with the 2008 honda cbr600rr. Buy from a reputable dealer and you will have a slightly better chance of buying a clean bike.

I was comparing the 2007+ cbr600rr to the gixxer 600, the clip-ons on the stock 2007+ cbr600rr are about an inch higher than the gixxers. The higher clip-ons alone will be more comfortable for a rider on the streets There have been no major issues reported for the 2007-2012 cbr600rr, I'm not referring to the older 600rr's. Most 600cc shootouts will tell you the 07+ 600rr is fantastic on the streets. maybe you have never ridden one? I put over 4k miles on mine and ride for hours on end in comfort
