Your timing marks were off by one tooth. That will effect your engine performance a lot. Pull the larger gear out slightly, while using a screw driver to hold rods in place behind it, then rotate the gear to line up the dots and replace.

Potential valve float at the higher revs the governor removal allows Heavier springs keep them in check

Not sure if I am brave enough yet to remove the governor 😂. Did you purchase the Predator 212 tuning kit for the stage one parts?

The governor removal made the biggest difference But I would put the 18lbs valve springs in to top valve float I used this kit and bought springs off eBay separately amzn.eu/d/axsCRpP

It's pretty worrying that the spokes pulled through the rim, even under provocation. Are there stronger rims readily available ?

No doubt if I paid genuine Honda prices for genuine C90 wheels they’d stand more abuse But these wheels even Honda were never designed to take these type of side loads Stronger wheels would also be heavier too I’ll take my chances with the cheaper Chinese copies again 🤞

That's what happens with stainless steel spokes! Mild steel ones are much more flexible. Also, get a billet flywheel - the standard ones can come apart at as little as 4,000 rpm.

Not sure what advantage you will get by removing the entire governor mechanism rather than just removing the arm from the governor shaft to the throttle?

I’m not sure either, but once detached internal parts might rotate enough to hit the crank or arm disconnect from governor allowing end cap and washer to drop into engine Just seems safer out as it’s not needed
