We are really deeply impressed by your long and beautiful journey around the world. Your videos are amazing and as we were cycling in Europe for only three months 10 years ago, we have some kind of own experience of what it physically means to travel on bikes for a longer time. But this was nothing against your trip through all these hot and humid regions with nearly no comfort. We have great respect for you!

@MrJx4000 Жыл бұрын
Here's what my translation program gave me: _"The problem of garbage in our country is a very serious problem, many people are not aware that throwing garbage is bad for everyone, humans, animals, flora, in short for everyone, and therefore it is necessary to implement comprehensive policies regarding the treatment that is given to garbage by the human being..."_ I hope you do manage to fix that problem. Your country has so much potential to be a better place to live so that your people don't have to flee northwards towards the US.

Thank you for sharing your life on the bicycle in a very Sympathetic way. Was interesting to see that you also stop at Red Cross places! Do they share beds to sleep? I thought I saw some bunk beds behind? Are you some how “church related” or just enjoying the Christian hospitality? Take care and enjoy your ongoing trips!
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
The guy at the Red Cross station did offer us the beds, but we preferred just sleeping on our mats. 😊 No, we are both not “church related” at all. 😅 But churches thankfully usually offer a nice, safe place to rest. 😊

@@ultimasolucion6904 We really enjoyed El Salvador as it was not yet too touristy. But it really depends on how you travel.
@ultimasolucion69042 жыл бұрын
@@louisaandtobi food and safety would probably be the major factors I think I've heard El Salvador is relatively safe , how did you feel? And Guatemala and Honduras ? Of the three which had the best food but also you felt comfortable ? Also throw in Mexico and Nicaragua I'm not sure how many of these countries you have visited Thanks ! I am just curious and might decide to start traveling
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
@@ultimasolucion6904 We felt pretty safe in all of Mexico and Central America, but of course this may depend on the exact areas you travel through. Guatemala has pretty amazing landscapes but is in some areas very touristy… and there is a lot of trash everywhere. As we only spent two days in Honduras we can’t say much about it, but had a nice time there. Food in Mexico is also good and the people are very hospitable. But here it really depends if you’re on Baja or on the mainland. Nicaragua is much cleaner than the rest of Central America and has some nice landscapes by the large lake. And yea, El Salvador was probably our favorite overall for the nice empty beaches and few tourists. And the Pupusas are also great! 😊

I probably haven't watched enough of your videos to figure it out yet ... am wondering if your vegetarian ... and if so found it difficult in any country ... thanks again for sharing your beautiful adventure ...
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
We were strictly vegetarian for the first 9 months of our journey, as we had been vegetarian for many years before at home. But at some point we decided to sometimes eat meat again, not just because it’s pretty difficult in most places, but also because we felt we were missing out on the culture a bit by not trying local cuisine or declining offers from locals. We still always only cook vegetarian/ vegan but now also try dishes with meat.

We’ve both learned Spanish along the way and Louisa is already pretty good! Tobi has. Wheeler Trekking 8700 and Louisa a Hercules Superior. Two old frames that we’ve customized.

How hard is it to cross the border(s) ? I want to ride from Panama City to San Diego
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
Most borders in Central America are relatively easy. For Honduras you need to fill out a form online in advance and Covid vaccinations might be mandatory for some countries. Nicaragua is the only difficult border as you need to fill out a form online beforehand and get a PCR test. They also have a proper customs check with X-Ray, etc. which takes forever!

Great video, but u only saw a little piece of El Salvador. I’m a Salvadoran living in nyc & travel back often. It’s still unspoiled so far & hope they preserve it. My biggest worry is that white Americans will ruin it as they destroy everything and place they visit with their bad habits, lack of culture, uneducated toxicity! However, everyone else is welcome! Keep riding 🇩🇪!!!!
@antoniocardoza93642 жыл бұрын
@fc- Man!!! You shouldn't be judging or blaming other people's color and culture! Stop that f...king hate! Let it go! Who the f..ck are we to be judging other people's culture? Take a look at our culture, we're from the third world, we still have a long way to make it to the first world. So stop criticizing in a negative way and let people from all over the world come to our country regardless of their color or culture... Our country needs to be explored, developed, and known worldwide. And tourism is one of the keys. But your comment is not helping at all...So behave yourself and stop the hate!👎.
