Cycling El Salvador| PeaksxPedals Ep. 15

I spend 6 days riding through El Salvador climbing the highest point El Pital along the way.
I am currently cycling from Alaska to Argentina on the Pan American Highway and trying to climb the highest mountain in every country on the way.

Valve stems usually fail from an under inflated tire that allows the tire and tube assembly to slowly creep around the rim causing the valve stem appear to be “bent;” the valve isn’t parallel to the spokes that it is between. When it it too “bent” over, the stress ultimately tears the valve away from the tire. The heat of your brakes on that downhill may have been a contributing factor. It can happen through no fault of your own; you can start your day with freshly inflated tires to the max pressure and then run over something that gives you a slow leak that you don’t notice until the stem pulls off of the tube. It looks like one of the thorn resistant tubes with the extra long stem. I apologize for providing a faulty tube to you.

I would hardly call a tube that lasted from New Mexico to El Salvador faulty, that's like well over 3,000 miles.

the video is looking good Why is the rolloff broken? Can you easily fix what's broken?

Yes fortunately it was an easy fix, there was a ring clip that holds the sprocket on that had rattled off, so all I had to do was put it back on and I was good to go!

How was it crossing borders ? I know u need a passport but how About Visa ? I want to fly from Tx to Panama City and ride back to TX. Thx

As an American you can enter all the countries on the way without a visa.
