Wow… reading this has made my week! It’s lovely to run in to people with shared values - one thing the algorithm is useful for I guess 😂 A culture that worships the land - with or without current challenges in mind - is something we can all lean so much from and I’m excited to learn more! Thanks so much for you support 🌞

Although I do not agree with the Welcome to the Country nonsense, and I find it offensive and divisive, it was a nice ride for you guys. There is one Australia, and it belongs to all Australians, whether first or last, and all Australians are welcome to every corner of this great country. The sooner we get over this simple fact, the better!
@felixoates26 күн бұрын
Hey Julian, I personally can't see how paying respect to the people that came before us and learning more about their culture is divisive in anyway. I'm happy to discuss this further with you because you are evidently someone that is interested in my channel, given that you have been engaged with this project and have commented on my other videos. One non-negotiable I ask for from the people around me, though, is to have my back and to be open to the message I'm trying to bring. So I have to ask Julian, are you open to supporting me and my channel?
@JulAlxAU26 күн бұрын
I am genuinely very interested in this project, particularly from the perspective of an ultra-endurance ride. I fully support the cause you have ridden for, but I don’t entirely agree with some of the views you expressed in the video. That said, I truly see you as a sincere, honest person with strong ethics, which I deeply admire. I’d be happy to discuss this further if you’re open to it.
@felixoates25 күн бұрын
@@JulAlxAU I appreciate your vulnerability as well as the kind words, I also appreciate that you think this cause is a worthy one - I truly believe orgs like TriMob are so good for our sport and for Australia. It's evident we both love Australia so I'm sure we can find common ground. I do think disagreement can be a good thing for the world as things would be pretty boring if we all thought the same way. That being said I do work hard to create a positive and welcoming vibe in my channels & clubs, so hopefully we can unpack some of our ideological differences privately.
