Ģreat effort mate, I really enjoyed your commentary in particular encouraging yourself to keep pushing. It's not easy negotiating populated areas as you deal with fatigue. I noticed on your screen you also managed a steady cadence, a credit to you mate. Getting out there is what it's all about, I imagine you would have been grateful for the support crew meeting you at the end, looking forward to your next adventure big thumbs up.

In the 80km between Perth and Mandurah, there is no need to clip out of your pedals.

Didn't know Perth had this many bike paths. I live a bit south of Mandurah and it's a bit hellish riding. Bloody ripper doing 100K. Great work.

I did this in 1978 as a 15yr old on a Malvern Star Dragster bike. And we rode back.took 6hrs there and 6hrs back. And this was on the main road dodging cars and trucks. A lot less traffic back then.

I thought to myself he must be staying over night or he has a car already there haha,great little trip there mate,hoping to do it myself now that you have shown us the rout,although I live 6k's from Perth CBD,but then again I ride a hardtail mountain bike,built for going down fast.

This one I got picked up. But you could use the train. A few weeks later I rode there and back 200kms.

Nice work. What bell are you using ? Looking for one that looks ok on a road bike but still has a decent ring ?
@jjsadv6 ай бұрын
@@neilwelsford3578 on the Noah I use a small one that held on with O-Rings. It’s the only one I could find that fitted the Aero Cockpit. It was only around $10 AUD. I will get a Garmin 1050 when they land in shops and that has an electronic bell.

Well I was just about to say nice to see you back after a long absence but then I looked at your channel I saw you have been posting regularly. Naughty YT hasn't been letting me know for some reason. Oh well I have a few vids to catch up on now :) (I did have the 'ALL' notification switched on too!)
@jjsadv2 жыл бұрын
Yeh, you have to be on top of TY.. Sub and hit the bell if you want to keep up it seems.. I have been busy with work. Still traveling but mainly overseas. I don't tend to record these as its work.. I'm about fit enough to get out in the bush on the Pushy.. I will be able to hear the birds and I fly by at 20 kms.. :) I also need to get a trip under the belt in the car or Motorbike before it gets to hot. 😁

@@jjsadv Def subbed and the bell is on 'all' notifications so YT just wasn't doing its job. I rode round the bridges in Perth once and that nearly killed me HAHA.

Hey mate, How are you doing? I'm wondering which path did you take to Mandurah where you mentioned there's a road above the bike path, the one beside the canning river, cause I'm confused which way did you take right after you take a picture of your bike at 10:38? Cheers
@jjsadv Жыл бұрын
That was the old wooden bridge near the raffles. The one with the road above is a bit further south called the mount Henry Bridge.

Hi Justin . What app is that giving you the info bottom l h corner. …. a peloton taking up the whole rd.. you can’t drive a car down our way on Sat mornings. There’s hundreds of bikes heading to the closest coffee shop to take up all the seats there for a hr, then block the roads up again on the way home. ( just joking) I ride my bike from home ( Bicton) into the city and back most weekends. The bike tracks around the city are great. 😀😀 Cheers

@@merv190 I used a program or app called Garmin Virb Edit. Using this you can take the clip, and the .fit file, that holds the GPS position along with all the Garming metrics, and you can sync them, then add the guageds and link then to the data you want to display. It's actually pretty easy, but it doubled the time it took to edit this as I add the gauges to nearly every clip.. You can turn on the GPS in the Gopro and use Quik app to do some of the same, but not the heart rate and bike metrics, only speed, g-force etc. Take a look here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWbZao15rMiopMk

Hi Mate! Do you do group rides on weekends in Perth? What about having different people from across the globe forming bike-ride community?

I do group rides at times. Or charity rides. There are plenty of global bike communities. Facebook is a popular platform for these.
