Thanks Sandy! I lived in Worthing from the age of 12 and had many cycling adventures to London and back in a day. When I got my Vespa in the ‘60s it was the Mods and Rockers in Brighton then art college and weekend trips on my Yamaha 250 to stay at my girlfriend’s parents farm in Warwickshire. You have enabled me to revisit all these places and at 70 live a ‘virtual life’ vicariously through your adventures- I can’t thank you enough! Please look after yourself, as you are becoming a ‘National Treasure’! David Myers (Sydney, Australaia).

They sure are Sandy! I just love the camp-outs with the sound of rain on the canvas and even though I can belt around at 45mph on my 1650w, go anywhere, eBike rigged for any terrain with low gears and 3” tyres I don’t have the energy with my heart condition and age to cover the distances that you do. Please look after yourself as I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one that enjoys travelling with you ‘virtually’!

Sandy I grew up in the Australian bush with windmills all over our properties. Most common ones we had were Southern Cross .. Lysaght and Comet used to pump our bore troughs. Some real good quality cattle on your journey amidst the splendour of the countryside made for great viewing. You sure gave the bike a tough workout but it hung in there for you to the end. Good mate is Dave. Bushyboy Oz.

Well done for not abandoning. A lot of time must go into filming yourself and editing the video afterwards. Certainly a tough ride and not one for the faint hearted. Money and wealth doesn't make you happy and neither does it make you unhappy. It's all down to your outlook on life. Enough money to feed yourself and keep a roof over your head and taking pleasure in what's all around you is what keeps me going Thanks for sharing the journey.

You should feel rightly proud, that was a feat of endurance and though the bike was practically limping to the finish line, you made it in one piece. I'd be tired doing 220 miles on a motorbike, but on a pushbike? Blimey!

My bike was the Thorn Raven Tour, from Thorn Cycles in Bridgewater. Take a look. Noel

Really enjoyed this adventure. Well done for completing it even with equipment failure. There’s a lot to be said for carrying on when things give up on you. Not sure I could have made it past the cows, fits of laughter about 😂 about eating the babies comment 🤣. You’re 110% right about your mentioning of greed. Past, recent events have shown me, we work & struggle to make money & purchase stuff only to find we can’t take a single thing out the world. We come with nothing & we go with nothing. But you’re right greed, greed seems to be the way of things sadly. Again great video. Well done again
