Cycling the Ottertail River Trail, Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies, Aug 2021

Frank, Daphne and friend Tannis explore the Ottertail Fireroad trail in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, on a short bike-packing trip. We camp at McArthur Creek backcountry campground, visit Ottertail Falls and have a brief encounter with a bear!

Nice trail. It was so smokey in the nelson area last August.

Hi Tom, here is a link to the Parks Canada Yoho website with their map of the area which does show this trail - hope that helps. I don't believe the trail is shown on Alltrails or Trailforks, at least I couldn't find it. It is shown on Gem Trek maps of "Lake Louise and Yoho" which you can purchase through Amazon or other vendors. www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/bc/yoho/activ/randonnee-hike/jour-day#map
