@@InvestedAdventure It really depends on what time of location you enjoy: Orvieto is a quiet beautiful small hill town, San Gimignano has a ton to see and enjoy, De Senzano de Garda is a fun lake town, Trento is a laid back smaller city with unique wine right below the Alps. We are really enjoying our stay right now in the Brera district of Milano., the food is amazing and the people are really warm and friendly.

@@eviejoonthego6014 it is generally safe, there are some not so nice areas but I would say that from the port it would be pretty hard to stumble into them if you are going towards the city center. If you are flying direct to napoli then you should be okay. if you fly into roma then connect to napoli you will never see your luggage again. i lived there for 3 years and flew back and forth to the US. the train is SO convenient and you'll have your luggage. super cheap, not stressful. napoli airport is chaotic. the pizza is THE BEST in the world. and i can't believe he did not mention the buffalo mozzarello. i understand why he didn't mention the trash. as a side trip. drive up to the coast to Gaeta, my favorite city in Italy. with my work, i traveled all over the world and italia is my fav and napoli grows on you but the pizza is the best rught out of the gate.
@TerrifyingBird
@TerrifyingBird 3 ай бұрын
@@maddieronk4966 I have flown the connection Rome to Napoli with ITA a bunch of times and it never happened that they lost my luggage. I may have been lucky, but it is not that bad! And it is a small airport, it is hardly chaotic, just maybe a little bit crowded during high season. Rather than Gaeta, which is quite far, Ischia has some nice beaches and some of the best thermal parks around. It is not super easy to get around on the island, but it can be reached without a car from Napoli, and it can be a day trip.

Graffiti is part of the city’s personality . It doesn’t look bad. If you visit, you will see how much it “goes” with the vibe. Think of it as the city having tattoo sleeves. There is already so much less graffiti than there used to be. It would break my heart if it was to disappear completely. Europe has plenty of refined, polite looking cities. Napoli is Napoli. It has it’s own identity. It dances to the beat of it’s own drum. Nobody wants that to change 😊

Puglia is nice my brother went there often because his wife has a holiday house there and even my parents went there few times but Naples is something else...Naples it makes almost the whole inhabitants than Puglia. 3 millions against 3.8 million. Apart this the Amalfi Coast is one of the most popular location in the world to visit, and you can still go in the south of the region for wild big beaches in the "Cilento National Park Vallo di Diano e Alburni"where I use to go often when I can e where I used to go as a child. This location it's even popular between divers to be one of the best place in Europe to visit underwater caves as there are many. Naples it was the Capital of all the South of Italy before so it has a deep influence to all southern italian regions with it's history, art, food, music etc. For example first theater in the world was born in Naples. And yeah as this guy told in the video Naples were founded by Greeks and we had a Spanish and French past, even the Reggia of Caserta was part of the Kingdom of Naples as it was built by some members of the Spanish Royal Family that were governing the city when Spain it was the biggest Empire in the world basically from the 15th to the 17th-18th cenutury more or less. By the way all the South of Italy is geographically beautiful.
@TerrifyingBird
@TerrifyingBird 4 ай бұрын
Depends what you are looking for! Napoli was the capital of its kingdom until the 19th century. Going there feels like going to another European capital, although the beaches are not great, and there is not a lot of places on the coast where you can swim: you have to move out a bit like to Capri or the Amalfi coast (breathtaking at times, but a bit touristy) or Ischia, Procida or Miseno for a proper beach. If you are into diving though, you should probably look into the Parco Archeologico Sommerso di Baia, i don't think that there is nothing quite like it, worldwide. Puglia still has some nice cities, the sea is much better than what you find usually in Napoli, and has not been reached by the same level of overtourism yet. It is a better option if your plan is relaxing on the beach and then wander around a little bit. Otherwise, if you want to wander around and sightsee, Napoli is definitely the better option by a mile

Please don't come to visit Napoli! Go to visit somewhere else in the world. I am napoletano and I am sick of tourists coming to a Napoli that they do not understand just because they found a cheap ticket on Ryanair. Napoli is every day more polluted from tourism, that is just a new form of pollution whether we can discuss pros and cons. And don't miss the point: there is no REAL ITALY! Italy is all real! As for the Neapolitans, we are not Italian or just pizza'n'Maradona, we are Neapolitans! As Romans are Romans. The cultural roots are so strong that at the end of the 19th century our kingdom just found itself absorbed in Italy as a nation, as had happen for many other "italian" kingdoms, princedoms, dukedoms e so on, that's why Italy has so many dialects and cultural variety, and they are all real! Internet is full of pictures, we don't need anymore people coming here to take a pretty pic to put on instagram. If you come to Napoli, you stay for a couple of weeks at lest, you embrace the culture and the history: you feel privileged. Please don't come here, go to have a foot massage in Thailand or to destroy a nice beach in Croatia.
