We need more of this. Absolutely love the appreciation and respect between these separate sports. We need Hask going all over the world doing more of this!

As a cycling fan, that was fantastic. There's something about two different sports coming together that just works.

Good stuff. Thomas & Rowe. Legends of Welsh cycling & top blokes too. It was only as recent as 2015 that 2 Welsh riders started the Tour de France for the first time.

This has just explained, clearly, everything I didn’t understand about the Tour de France and elite cycling races generally, more than in many hours watching the Bradley Wiggins Lance Armstrong podcasts ( good as they are). I have LOVED the Tour for years, but the inner workings of why some riders do what they do or don’t has been a total fog for me. Thanks so much for this brilliant chat.

Great episode, and 2 of the best there is in the Cycling business, if any one wants to watch a n incredible sporting spectacle, it's Le tour, just for the scenery alone tbh, almost breathtakingly beautiful at times. Great interview.

Great, down to earth, no filters video. Absolutely banging interview. p.s. Such a shame that Luke won't be riding one last race. Can you imagine, Luke and Geraint riding the Tour of Britain together, on a Welsh stage, this year. All of Wales would be going nuts.

Luke: you should come race the Cape Town Cycle Tour. The route is well suited to your style... and I am sure that if you brought a few mates for some early season training you would be at the front of the bunch... (There will be some rugby to watch as well...)

Very interesting. I used to pace a fine Army athlete in the 3000m Steeplechase. We were same regiment. Tough event which starts at a fast pace. He could break reg and div records whilst drunk!! He wanted me to try and beat him but my essential role was to start at a realistic pace and maintain it. I like cycling. I ride mtb. But I don’t understand the big road events. On the challenge, where are they going to find a frame for Richard? Clydesdale in mtb.

Geriart Thomas: seriously his last few podcasts: I don’t like the Spanish, I don’t like Spain or the Vuelta, I can’t stand Niro Quintana , I don’t like chatting to Italians, I don’t like the new young riders, fxxx Pogi, Tom Pitcock doesn’t shower properly. You know what EVEN his bestie says “he’s nasty” . Adding up for me…….he likes the British, that’s it 🤔

Lovely guests and hask on point. But suggestion. When guests (particularly from other sports but really anyone incl) are invited maybe they could be encouraged to watch some gbr pods beforehand so when they come on they dont feel awkward with the format/banter. This one felt clunky at times. No ones fault though, could be guest nerves. Best wishes, my fave pod. Sorry payno for this below the line comment (!)

Hask was fine but it was pretty obvious he doesn't watch much cycling. Still a decent little chat though.
@sandrac35177 ай бұрын
It would have been better if the interviewer did some prep on the topic..ie cycling before he started this interview. 🙄 I'm not convinced he has ever watched the TdF let alone being a dedicated fan, otherwise he wouldn't have been surprised at some of their answers.
