Underrated rider in his time when serving Froome. A rider who should be remembered for his loyalty, exceptional talent and his Hardness.

Some of cycling's greats never won, or came second in the Tour de France. Nor were they Olympic gold medalists. History will remember Geraint Thomas as a great of his sport. His greatest quality for me - is that he was / is a bone fide team player through and through. When his career is done every multi billion dollar business should pay Geraint a lot of money to speak to it's people. He's a fantastic man.

Just disappointing not to be able to see who would've won without the stoppages. I think G would've held his hands up and applauded Bernal if he was beaten fair and square but there's something poetically unjust about what happened. P.S. Yes, I'm still pissed off that Wiggins didn't get to defend his title in 2013.

Agree with almost all you say but I think more likely about ‘win’ was too many things came home to roost (crashes) and there was someone better at the time. Agree it was bland (like the rice). It is a bit like when musicians talk about music, the music is the exciting thing; with cycling, the racing is the spectacle (and to a degree the falsehood), seeing the reality of what it takes is not necessarily a good thing!
