thanks for sharing the bit about your dad. I lost my dad last year and cycling was one things we bonded over and something that i get to do to remember him when i go out and ride on his old bikes. Its something special to hold onto no doubt. much love!

I too loved to hear about your relationship with your dad. My dad worked like a crazy man from Monday through Friday, but Saturday was a sacred day reserved for riding with him and my siblings. Thanks for reminding me how lucky I was to enjoy those magical moments with my dad. 😘

Sometimes it's not just about the bike, there's a cyclist on board with their own story. Nice one Francis 👍

What a beautiful soul. Natural, centered, no posturing, I don't think I'm wrong in saying your Dad was a great Dad and raised a strong daughter, true and resilient ❤

One of the reasons I love your channel is the great people stories you mix in like this one. Absolutely touching bit about her father. BTW, the small bit at the beginning is awesome "Wish me luck". I love hearing the respect for a woman pro.

I welled up when Iz was telling her story about her Dad. She's so right when she says we are privileged to be able to ride, bless her.

Awesome sentiment that the pain we put ourselves through is a privilege. I’ve recently crashed with a radial head fracture stopping me enjoying spring riding. Can’t wait to get back out there (once I rebuild the bike).

It's hard not to be a fan of Iz King. We all might have that Walter Mitty pipe dream about being a professional bike racer but she actually went out and did it. She only has a couple of seasons under her belt yet she's getting top ten finishes against people some who've been racing since they were kids. And she comes off as a genuine real person, no big head. Best of luck this year errrr I mean break a leg!

Gravel riding/racing feels more like the mountain bike community to me than to road riding. It’s not all about weight, avg speed and aero. It’s more about having fun out on your bike and being with people who share the same love for the sport. Also, not being around traffic is a big plus.
