Do you put the dielectric compound on the pins and springs of the coil along with the boots and top of the pin housing?

Plant-Lover, In some of my Stiles Automotive Videos, I use a lot of Di-electric Grease, probably way, way to generous with it. It is great at lubricating and water-proofing Connectors. It helps Electrical Connectors come apart the next time so much easier. I hate corrosion. And it helps with carbon tracking and shorting of Coil Wires, Spark Plug Wirings because it is non-conductive. However, on some connectors, like the Coil on Plug (CoP) Electrical Connectors, Sensor Connectors, and the like, You should not put it on the Pins and Sockets (meaning Electrical Transfer Point) of the Connector, because it is non-conductive. I believe this can reduce the signal (or increase the voltage drop) thru these Connectors, where you need a strong signal. - Stiles

Did you ever check the ohms on the new coil, and also the old coil you replaced?

Joe, Yep It did a video to check the COP Coil (link below), Ya know, with these Coils, sometimes just removing the Coil, reseating it on the Plug and reseating the Electrical Connector improves the Coil performance. I'm not absolutely convinced that the Coil was bad, but replacement corrected the fault.
