One minute there were 25 mix colored jerseys and then at the 2k a pack of red lead the way to a great win for the wolf pack!

Tuohy actually ran 23 seconds faster at the NCAAs, with a fall. And finished 15th. She cut almost a full minute off her time in March. Kelsey was 28 seconds faster and finished 6th.

It’s great to see Katelyn Tuohy amongst peers as highly skilled as she is! It was difficult to watch her be so much on her own during High School competitions. As Katelyn says, being with North Carolina takes the cake!

A sweet win for Kelsey, vanquishing her NXN nemesis Katelyn. Kelsey is very clearly much stronger than during her NXN years displaying such purposeful drive, determination and confidence over the final mile! After an unfortunate number of NXN runner up trophies anyone with a sense of fairness and respect will rejoice in her success. And of course an impressive run from the younger of the pair - Katelyn. (Someone else can cover the great boys' race).

It's also important to not that Tuohy is recently recovered from a fairly tough injury. The fact that she wasn't one of the runners profiled at the beginning of the race shows that she was not expected to do as well as she did.

Can't beat the red and white Wolfpack. 20 points is incredible!

Katelyn was just recovering fr injuries at that .. and yes Kelsy has improved a lot ... much more stronger.. . And they're Teammates now.

Katelyn was definitely not100% post knee surgery..maybe 80%.. definitely not a race that showed tuohys speed..as she's still recuperating..

Any chance you could post the 2021 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships Men's 10K race video? From this past May? It's a pretty exciting race (especially for a 10k) and (spoiler alert) Ian Shanklin of NC State wins it.

When will cross country join the 21st century and have men and women run the same distance?

@@landyncb8751 Did you see the number of ladies staggering at the finish of the 6K in March? That course as is was just too tough for a lot of the runners in my opinion. Not too tough for the best, but for some. Maybe an 8K on a flatter, easier course would work out, but not at OSU.

Why don't women announce women's events?
@frankiek22693 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it matters in sports where they do everything the same, like running. It doesn’t really matter who announces. But in some where they actually do things differently, like Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, I definitely want an experienced female announcer, like Nastia.
