finally got a rack and a tons of clamps and booms. Looking at this pile of stuff going "uhhhh...uhmm." Man I'm glad you have all these videos! Thanks :)

But how stable are the stands with so many cymbals on them? It could be cool if you could play some of your homemade setups!

I've set up one of my cymbal stackers into a cowbell holder with a crash above it; works great. (cowbell slotted right over the stacker) Tempted to get the SC-BCSA on my left side once I've decided what I need there.

It would be great if the stackers had a built in wing nut with felt sleeves to tighten the cymbal underneath not just the cymbal on the stacker... For me it's really annoying having that cymbal moving everywhere.

Yamaha CSAT stackers are the best system out there. No threads to deal with

Brent great vid. Love all your set up vids. Got a question not related to this video but hardware related. Any suggestions how to fit a 7/8" ultra adjust tom arm into a 1" diameter tom holder? I have a premier set which has a 1" diameter bass drum tom mount where a Gibraltar SC-SP tom arm fits. I want to use a SC-78UA instead. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've ended up having a wing nut welded on the end of a stacker just so I don't strip the existing threads on my cymbal stand with some of these lug nut style stackers . Are there any threaded stackers that also tilt out there? I can't find any.

I have recently bought two of the SC-BCSA stackers, the last ones shown on the video. I would NOT recommend these at all, certainly not used as they appear to be above. At the initial fixing, where the stacker first attaches to your cymbal stand, there is no thread - there is simply one screw, tightened by drum key, which is not only unstable, but also chews your thread away in no time. If you wish to use these with no damage, you CAN slide the assembly all the way down on your cymbal stand, then put the original cymbal on the stacker, and still use the boom (i.e one stand; TWO cymbals). But DO NOT try to mount three cymbals, of any kind, using this stacker. Good idea - very poor execution. NOT a good design.

Is there a stacking option for those who have all Turning Point cymbal stands/arms/mounts? I like the quick convenience of Turning Point and would like to keep while stacking. Thanks

Hi Brian, these stackers are only designed to work with traditional threaded posts. We do not have any meant to work with the swing nut
@DanCarusoSound8 жыл бұрын
Hey Brian and Brent! What you can do is something I've done: if you purchase any of these regular stackers and wish to stack it onto an already existing turning point arm on your kit, you can remove the parts for the turning point mechanism and swap it with the regular cymbal holding parts of the stacker. This way, your turning point stand becomes a regular stand, your stacker becomes a "turning point stacker", and then you have an extra wing nut as a spare part!

Does anyone know the size of the post on the 4" Stacker? I have a couple old Paiste Stambuls that have the old school pre 1958 hole size and don't fit on the modern 8mm post.

G'day, my 4 and 6 inch stackers arrived. What keeps the bottom cymbal in place? Are you meant to screw it onto the tiny bit of thread left above the wing nut, because without the wing nut the bottom cymbal is not secure or able to be tightened? Would this be the product to get to solve this problem? Gibraltar SC-MCW Metal Cymbal Washers to put under neath the thread of the 4/6 inch stacker.
@GibraltarHardware7 жыл бұрын
Spanish Guitarist the stackers are meant to replace the wing nut. The lower cymbal will swing a little more than with the wing nut, but will stay on the post. The MCW is meant to place on cymbal posts that do not have seats for a cymbal, for the felts to rest on. This isn’t going to help you secure your cymbal.
@Baronheim7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. The wing nut pushes down the felt to make the cymbal more secure so can you recommend something like a washer to be able to do this with a stacker, what I was thinking with the MCW was that the stacker would push it down onto the felt acting like a wing nut. Perhaps why this is a problem for me is with the upside down bell of fx or china cymbals I use.

So the SC-CSA provides 2 extra cymbals, does it clamp above the felt of the original cymbal or how does it attach? If you did a video attaching the first and last stacker would be helpful.
@GibraltarHardware7 жыл бұрын
Spanish Guitarist the SC-CSA threads over the cymbal post of a cymbal stand. Once you thread it all the way down, you can secure it in place with the key lock screw at the bottom

Todd Little the top portion has a different attachment than the bottom. It won’t work if you disassemble

What the pros and cons to cymbal stackers?
@ThrashJazzAssassin778 жыл бұрын
I any traditional setup, especially in a five-piece where the toms are centred in front of the snare, the most logical use is to stack a smaller splash over a larger one. They're best suited to auxilary cymbals, though some more offbeat setups allow you to stack crashes or chinasover each other with little interference. I used to play my crashes super low before I realized they were causing me to slouch my back, so I was able to put my splashes over the crashes and still have them very accessible.
