How many parents didn't have a clue on what she was singing about?? I've said this plenty of times, but I wish I had a time machine, so I can go back to the 80s and stay there. I'd have a lot more time with having my mom in my life, I'd study harder ( I was .0036 points from being on the National Honor Roll ), I wouldn't have gotten pregnant at 19, I'd stay in the Army and made a career out of it, found my husband and started to date him, and relive the music. No matter how sad you might feel, put on the 80s, and the sadness just goes away.

I remember loving this as a kid, when it came out..would play on the chart shows and what not more. Naturally, being a kid I had zip idea what the topic was, but i understood that this was fun, smart and brilliant. Then it disappeared from TV. Some ten years later I found it again, fell in love with it again..and then I caught on. The things we got away with on free TV in the eighties... And now I think it holds up even better than then. Thank you, Cindy.

You know, to this day she hasn't been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I just found this out. Was shocked. I contacted them and they said that it's possible they will in the future, but if we want we can send a letter to the nominating committee nominating her. I did that and am trying to spread the word. So you basically write a nice letter stating why you think she deserves to be inducted. You send it to: The Nominating Committee Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 1290 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10104. Pass this on.
