I'd have a lot more time with having my mom in my life, I'd study harder ( I was .0036 points from being on the National Honor Roll ), I wouldn't have gotten pregnant at 19, I'd stay in the Army and made a career out of it, found my husband and started to date him, and relive the music. I contacted them and they said that it's possible they will in the future, but if we want we can send a letter to the nominating committee nominating her. I did that and am trying to spread the word. So you basically write a nice letter stating why you think she deserves to be inducted. You send it to: The Nominating Committee Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 1290 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10104. Pass this on.

Great memories from the summer of '84 (after graduating college, & moving 500+ miles to start my career, which I retired from in 2018), hearing Lauper's various hits on the radio from She's So Unusual--which is an understatement! 😎

Its the music that is missing today. No music to guide the young. It helped me get through the 60's as a youngster, the 70's as a soldier and the 80's as a man. From the Beatles, to beau brummels, Herman Hermits, to the stones the who, boston, journey, pink floyd...Tom Petty..David Bowie... I thought greenday held some promise. I liked REM.

Damn she was SO good. 80's seemed like a funky era as I grew up past it, but here we are...it might be one of the sickest decades in history. The analog>digital evolution where ultimate talent and creativity was just exploding. Culture today...it's garbage. The 1980's may have been the truly free-est time in US history to be alive. It was all so organic as well...amazing.
