Cyndi Lauper means a lot to me. She was my daughter's FAVORITE singer, especially the "Girls just want to have fun song." My daughter was 10 yrs old at the time. Sadly my daughter passed away suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 33yrs. When I hear Cyndi Lauper sing, I close my eyes and remember the fun-fun times that I had watching my daughter dance around and pretend to sing like Cyndi. thank you Jimmy Kimmel for having Cyndi on your show this evening, enjoyed it very much.

Wear my hair the way I want, and my makeup according to how I feel that day. Be yourself unapologetically. Own your look, and walk with confidence anywhere you go. Fashion is so hilarious that people will soon be wearing your look, anyway. I'm a rocker chick, too. My hair is still down to my tail bone at 51. I'm judged for my hair being so long for my age. Do you know what I did? I grew it longer. 😂

I sang that song on the playground at school, it then followed me though years of growth, whims, experiments, and both good and bad life experiences. When I hear that song now (at age 51) I taste a few sweet kisses of that playground/childhood energy.
