Cynthia Clawson at Wilshire: "I Heard About a Man"

From morning worship at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015. Cynthia Clawson is a former Wilshire member. She and her husband, Ragan Courtney, now live in Houston. She has received a Grammy and five Dove awards for her work as a songwriter, vocal artist and musician. Her career has spanned over four decades with more than 20 recorded albums to her credit. Her rendition of “Softly and Tenderly” set the evocative tone for the soundtrack of the Academy Award winning movie The Trip to Bountiful. Most recently, Cynthia recorded the song “You Are Home” on the 2014 soundtrack album for the movie Heaven Is for Real.

Cynthia is the 2nd best Christian singer and I've loved her style & music. The best was also a skilled pianist & singer...my wife of 46 years. Please forgive my obvious bias and it is certainly no slight to Cynthia, of course. Bless her and her fortunate husband. She honors Jesus with the talents he gave her.
