I sing this every now and then with a flute and piano. I have sung it in Ga and Ca and I always cry when I am practicing it. I also sang with Cynthia in Albany, GA in the 70's. It was and has remained my very favorite memory. Cynthia told me as I portrayed her mother in a play that she felt love from me. I love you Cynthia. Hope to see you again on earth and know I will in Heaven.

We attended a concert with Cynthia performing this song. We bought her albums and if this song doesn't make you shudder in rapturous joy, you haven't met the same man we have!

That woman is over-the-top ridiculous with that voice. Stunning doesn't begin to describe it.

I interviewed this lady for my radio station in 1985 prior to a concert in Baltimore. I shared with her in that session how much this song ministered to me and I enjoyed playing it on the air. I decided to stay for the concert and to my surprise, at one point during the performance after sharing a few comments to the audience...she paused...and said 'this one is for you, Bob'...and then along with her sister (playing piano accompaniment), proceeded to thrill my soul with 'I Heard About A Man'. I have never forgotten that moment...and I will always hold this song in a place of special prominence...much like the subject of the song...Jesus Christ. I am humbled. Thanks again, Cynthia

I heard Cynthia perform this live in the 70's when I was a student at Baylor University. Breathtaking then, and on this classic album.

The first song I heard by Cynthia Clawson, and my favorite. I heard it the first time on a radio program called Night Sounds in the early 1980s.
