I am a "Senior Citizen" (63) who just purchased a ukulele. I have no experience playing a string instrument, but found, with your guidance, that "You are never too old to learn new things." I am loving it and will even more as my fingertips become "hardened". Beautiful voice and fantastic teaching skills. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

That was it for the lessons from Cyn for two weeks until I could get a grip. Good inspiration for my next song. LOL if ya want,,,, : (

I can’t imagine out of 7.6 THOUSAND Thumbs Ups, there are 259 Thumbs Downs. It’s difficult to fathom ONE thumbs down; like who would give you any thumbs downs when you are so talented with an incredibly sweet, soprano voice that is as professional as it gets. It shows that some people are downers no matter what. And if these people are proud of themselves for being honest, they should consider the old cliche, ‘If you don’t have anything good to say then don’t say it.’ Love love love the way you sang this!! I only wish I could one day be as good as you.

My best friend gave me a beautiful uke for Christmas back in 2013 and I tried learning many times with the book that came with it and I became frustrated, it was just not fun at all. Too stressed from work and still have to learn music? Nah...I gave up. now that I've found your tutorials, I cannot wait to come home from work and play! It is fun and I'm actually learning! Thanks so much! There's a song I'd love to learn and it will be very easy for all beginners out there. It is Bob Dylan's "All I Really Want to Do". If you could have a tutorial for it, I'll really appreciated. Thanks!

Your teaching method is awesome!! Although I majored in music ed, strings just didn't click for me. I tried guitar several times and it felt like I was learning a foreign language never spoken out loud before. I thought about a uke several years ago and brushed it off as another string I couldn't play. 6 weeks ago, I decided to try it anyway. I'm so glad I did and your videos have been a huge help!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Hey Cynthia - dunno if you still check these comments on these ancient videos but I'm just starting out, on my first week, and after several attempts to try and learn musical instruments and the uke specifically, this time I'm not just into it but I feel compelled to do my 10 minutes min of practice everyday and Im getting the hang of the early chords and the switching and strumming. AND it's all thanks to you. You have a wonderful vibe and a really sweet chiller feel - as a uke teacher you are hands down fantastic and make me smile while playing. Just like the uke itself. Thank you and look forward to making my way through all these lessons. \m_

I forgot that the ukulele does remind me of Hawaii. Didn't this instrument originate in Hawaii? I suddenly felt like laughing, when you Cynthia sang in the lyrics" don't frown then everybody would be down.. don't worry.. be happy.." to be happy and smile. That's what i used to do So Much, until too much troubles came to me. I will definitely learn to play the ukulele because it makes everyone happier. It did for me! : ) I love your tutorial. your so kind and patient and a lovely soul. Thank you. Oh, i found IZ one evening, then you the next day while searching for Island images of hawaii or something. I really think it was God lead. I am South american, French, and American Indian. So earthy and Quitara's (guitars) and many instruments I have always dreamed of learning. Again, thank you! My name is actually Dina. the SpaceGirlzRock meaning is women of all ages can think Out-side the box (Space) Girlz (Girls-women) rock (Play instruments & Sing) My own definition. Aloha...
