I love the the new plane but I don’t believe that the legroom is necessary especially for the routes they fly. I think they can put one more business class row or two more economy rows without the business travelers noticing a massive difference

I finally managed to go back to cyprus recently in august after many many years. Was positively surprised how modern LCA has become (ok to be fair it's been many years since I've been there) even though I would have much rather liked to go to PFO as it's much nearer to my destination but sadly virtually nobody flies into PFO from south germany or switzerland anymore. Also great to see the new cyprus airways even though I'm still sad about the old original one as I flew with them many many times in my childhood (even with cockipt visits before 9/11). The A220 looks great but my favourite will always be the 320.

How do they justify that seat pitch‽ I’d bet they could sell another two rows of economy without even noticing it in the business cabin.

It is justified in price, a single Athens will cost you 358 euros, while Dubai just over 1000 (keep in mind Emirates also operate the route). It will be interesting to see how they cope with competition!

overwhelming BC cabin for such a short flight and great catering too I think. but the BC service on the airport is far below level: no dedicated check-in nor priority lane....the 'new' Cyprus Airways should improve this as soon as possible!

Many thanks for stopping by! I completely agree with you regarding priority lane, it can get extremely busy at Larnaca airport in the summer as they are experiencing security staff shortages. I asked an airport agent for help when the priority lane scanner rejected my boarding pass and I he confirmed I must use the regular lane.
