Great documentary, thanks for sharing - just 50 years ago, 100s of thousands of Greek Cypriots lost half their country overnight and no one could stop the Turks / that is why Cypriots can sympathise with this awful situation

Rubbish, just like Israelis, they attack, provoke and then play the victim. Cyprus was an apartheid state before the Turkish intervention of 74, Muslim cypriots suffered over a decade of ethnic cleansing with final intent to genocide when Greece tried to annex the country in 74. Muslim (Turkish) Cypriots lived in an apartheid-like state and were treated as second-class citizens in their own country before 1974. They endured over ten years of ethnic cleansing, with entire villages massacred. In 1974, Greece attempted to annex Cyprus, to take its sovereignty and aiming to commit final genocide. This is why Turkey intervened. The landing of Turkish troops was the consequence, not the cause, of the problem. Like the Israelis, they provoke, attack, kill, and then portray themselves as victims.
