There's almost infinite modes of metal, each with there own presence and "feel", from Doom to Black and everything in between, and Dominus scratches a very Primal itch. I dont know if its the compression or what, but the wall of sound is so melded and together, yet every instrument including the vox are independently and all together Huge!

Thank you Cytotoxin for existing. I discovered you at Brutal Assault 2019. It was an incredible show. I saw many shows since the past 20 years. You were amazing. I was not into tech death metal before this but you just completely change my POV. Sometimes one band can be the entrance door to a whole kind or genre of music. You did it. Grimo your voice is outsanding, love when you put the mic' into your mouth :D and your whole incarnation of this beautiful "beast" . I would like to hug you guys but of course with we need to keep social distanciation and wear "masks" :D.

Opus Magnum, complete LP. No weak points, perfect mastering, technical parts, slow and fast parts, what means not boring. Even vocals are not so high as deathcore screams, U can feel differences between them. Great job Germans. Awaiting for more on the same level.

Two fucking snares.... I'm absolutely into that shit... Great song guys...
@norwardradtke13613 жыл бұрын
Yeah man using two snares is WAY too fun, like at the end of a phrase using the piccolo or other snare to make things pop out or symbolize that the phrase is ending

This drummer has a great ear for coming up with interesting drum parts and choosing distinct sounds for his kit. He's obviously fast, but his sound and creativity are what stand out to me.

I have been using my nickname DOMINUS, for nearly 20 years, having a similarity to my name, and because it makes it cool! In 1996 I discovered a Danish Death Metal band named DOMINUS, by Michael Puolsen then founder of VOLBEAT. A band and a composer who influenced my life in metal. Today, with great pleasure, I discovered another band that used DOMINUS to title a song. A band capable of playing a Death Metal that I love. This song will forever be one of the soundtracks of my life, for the title, for how it is interpreted. It is brutal, Evil. Simply Death Metal. a masterpiece.

With a name which sounds like they just closed their eyes, opened a medical journal to a random page, and placed a finger down... and the John Cena lookin' vocalist, thought to myself, "Oh boy, what the fuck did I just click on; will I ever get this 5 minutes back?" I must say as an old metal head I am thoroughly impressed. Kinda hits me like Soreption.

things I like about this: the stack-splash on the drums, the second snare, Stockis cute man-bun. Grimo replicating his live mannerisms in this video, which gives it a very live-feel, least to me. This song being somewhat slower and more "simple" for lack of better word.
