In the last patch whenever I faced Mauga as Hog, I would try to avoid getting burned, and when I did hook in a Mauga I would blow him up quickly. Mostly I wouldn't heal after I hooked until after the mauga died, cause my health didn't go up but his did. Did that change? I see Cyx hooking in and healing in front of Mauga a good bit.

Between the damage reduction increase on his breather and the DPS passive getting nerfed its a lot easier to live Mauga

Not sure if this is remotely "right". But when I do play hog vs mauga. After I hook to displace him unless I know 100% I can burn him fast. I immediately hit my breather to reduce his dmg/heal and los. The displace is my job, him dying is my teams. Otherwise I feel like I am just a giant health battery and once that's the situation I can't escape

Everyone trys mauga to counter hog but I win those fights 9 times out of 10. Teams that coordinate around the mauga can be difficult but the matchup is fairly even because theyre both just so high damage high survivability
