@@scuckplexity of course the Malaysians loved it. It’s no longer the malaysian made crap they tried to shoved down people’s throat for the last 40 years! Even the upgraded version with more specs they tried exporting to the UK market were labelled rubbish by the British. The Australians were more diplomatic with their comment on the brand but you know what, everyone knows proton knows jack shit about building cars. They are only good at 1 thing only. Ripping people off.

Gotta say finally a reviewer of Chinese cars, for the English speaking viewership! Good job. I’ve watched the reviews of the Geometry, i5 & Trumpchi. This is the best looking vehicle of the four exterior and especially interior by far. I like the Chinese design influence to make it standout. Of the four vids so far this looks real. What I mean by that is that there’s some filter settings on the camera that makes all the driving sequences in those other vids look like they’re CGI? Are the areas you drive specific zones/districts catering to foreigners or the wealthy? The backgrounds seem deserted for the most populace country on the planet! I’d be interested in some overview videos on entire lineups from the various manufacturers domestic and foreign to get a feel for what’s on offer there. Just subscribed so keep up the good work!

Thank you for the support! We film in a suburb of Shanghai because it’s simply easier and safer than filming in the city center. Trying to film car to car footage in downtown Shanghai is a nightmare. Not to mention the fact that there’s nowhere to park! Sorry to hear you don’t like the filter, but thank you for the feedback. Geely with it's price point and access to Lotus and Volvo for engineering makes this Chinese brand's the first serious car manufacture compete with western car brands whenever they decide to start exporting overseas. Most/all other Chinese car manufacturers still have to raise their quality and reliability, but give them more time and they will be as popular as Korean brands in the west IMO.

Good video! Actually Geely already has a few SUV's (Binyue, Boyue) so this MPV serves a different market. So it's not really fair comparing against an SUV. But overall great video, hopefully this MPV comes to Malaysia (where Geely also sells its cars under the Proton badge)

So we have sorts of a Chrysler Pacifica front and rearend, the sidepanels from a Renault Espace and on the inside an Espace center console combined with a dash and wheel from Caddilac. Just wonderful ^^

True, but that hard "S" is only a 'hit with 'S-heads' who often don't even need the UV. For those who know exactly what they intend to do with it, (ie. those who care about the UV) will appreciate a sleek, modern and safe Utility Van that will not put them in a lengthy financial strain. They just need the right time & market, kind of like the fanny pack!

The Emgrand brand was discontinued in 2014, and while the shape of the logos is similar, the colors are different. This is the first MPV under the Geely brand itself.

It looks nice. Geely CK was the worst build quality car I ever drove. There is no much feed back about it but the little that is says that around 150.000 km the car did not have problems. This looks like a step up.

Check out the crash test video that shows what a death trap the CK was. Even the production firewall had the look of a car that had gone through a crash test. That said, Geely has come a long way, in a very short time.

exora is way much better mpv in term of practicality, spacious, affordability. it also has smoothness engine compare with 3 cylinder engine which is good for vehicle like mpv. when people buying mpv, it is not about style, design but more about space, smooth, power, because most are not buying mpv for daily life but on occasional things like weekends workout activity with whole family, balik kampung, etc. so the current is way much more practical and comfort too. if proton want to rebadge this jiaji, then they need to answer all these question first.

The only thing I really hate about the interior is the piano black that too many modern cars have. It looks good.. for a little bit, but it quickly turns into a hindrance and an aesthetically displeasing component. Finger prints, dust, sun reflection.. it just shouldn't be in automobiles.

We in europe and asua are use to our mpv this way we know that when the rear seat are in use tgere no boot space.this is norm its a mpv not a mini bus/van. Un lije Americans the rest of the world aee use to this that wht 232 is the normal seating thus 222 us an American thing. Look at the car through adian or european eyes and urs good.
