59:33 I don't know how many picked up on this detail. But when from the perspective of okami and issun, amaterasu still has the markings and flaming disk on her back. But when we go to the man's perspective, all that disappeared and she looks like a regular white wolf, if well maintained and more majestic. It basically shows that mortals can't see anything related to the divine when it comes to her. Or at the very least mr. Orange can't. I found that a pretty cool thing to add into the game.

Also if you talk to children in the villages and cities it shows that they can see amaterasu's markings, probably due to their innocence. And certain people like the blind monk sees an beautiful and elegant woman instead.

Fun fact: Sakuya's "cheek window" was a tradition of ancient Japanese noblewomen. Because their kimonos had so many layers and were so intricate, it was highly impractical to have to unwrap them every time a number-two bathroom trip was necessary. Hence, that opening, which allowed the women to use their chamber pots and then clean themselves much more easily.

I don't know who told you that but generally the style of "toilet" they had back then was of a squatting variety and the person would have assistance from servants to keep their clothes out of the way. There's even evidence of places to "hang" the ends of their kimonos over attached to the defecating receptacle for further assistance. The explanation for Sakuya's ass window was explained in an excerpt from the official art book iirc. In it, Shimazaki explained that they wanted to give her a very peach like motif and the art team purposefully made Sakuya's breasts and butt emulate a peach for this reason

oh my god, it was okami. i had always wondered what game actually got me so used to inverted camera, it was okami. my god i did not realize it until he mentioned it being inverted. also the achievements are pretty easy. there's only one achievement that's gonna suck but you'll figure it out once you start, uh, finding 'them'

This was the first game i actively started to 100% as a child because i wanted to play it again and again. This is also the only game i ever used the new game + function. I cant normally play a game againa fter i finish it but i played Okami 3 time back to back. to this day its the only game thats done that to me

Same here, normally after some time it gets tiring for me to explore open worlds but everything is so pretty and fun, from the sidequests to just playing with the Celestial Brush on random stuff that I never felt bored. Though searching for all the beads was definitely a challenge...and getting all the secret dog costumes in my second playthrough to use in the 3rd was kinda a chore. 😅

@ReSF91 I forgot the do costumes! I had so much fun when I finally got em. The beads was also the first time in a video game I overcame my too good to use syndrome because some of these bosses really hit hard

@@suicune1324 yep not only that but also every boss is fun to fight, Kyubi and Yami being the top 2, Yami for obvious reasons and Kyubi for basically being a rival boss fight, where you both try to one-up the other with the Brush powers.

Honestly, I didn't expect you to play Okami, but that's cool 😅. I love this game because I love Japanese culture (including myths, clothing and music) and I like game's sountrack ❤. Additionally, I can't wait for sequel)).

I'd say it's 3. There are 3 distinct arcs of the story even if some of those parts are more involved than others

This is my favorite game of all time. Even if you don't continue to stream it, I highly recommend playing it on your own time. It's so worth it.

The only game to ever make me cry as a kid, and one that continues to well into my 30s. It's a masterpiece of a game, and I encourage anyone to give it a try if they haven't already. Once that ending theme plays, you'll wonder why people hardly speak of the game. It has a small buy loyal fanbase and one of THE most beautiful games to ever be made, art and soundtrack alike. It goes on stale often on Steam, it's as cheap as 5$ sometimes.

Hope you keep streaming the game! I love wtching others stream it ad its my favorite game of all time. I even used it for a school assignment back in highschool when we had to take a piece of non paper media and rewrite a portion of it in novel style

Okami's great fun! I played it way back on the Wii 😂 drawing could be uh... interesting on the Wii sometimes, even though you'd think it'd be oddly easier 😅

If you continue this trust me when I say when you get money buy the food for the animals feed every animal you see and don’t waste your points on Health go all in on inkpots. Learn the finishers for all the monsters as soon as you can as well
