Kenny, Can you please give an rough price estimate to take a OEM CZ and accurize it. What do you have to replace without a chassis. (ie, barrel, trigger, action)?? Can't imagine what demand would be if Ray was your dedicated Salesman!!!! You would put Voodoo out of business!!! I truly believe one if the larger manufacturers will try to pay you for your methods or steal/copy them !!! Great work and a ton too be very proud of!!!!

Thanks for your honest strait up information. I'm a fan and a fellow rimfire builder, they can be very fickle to get to shoot. I appreciate the data you give us. Always somewhat frustrated with shooters calling these "training rifles" for their centerfire rifles. I have found that shooting a rimfire for a while at distance it's very difficult to sort out all the variables and put a bullet on target. Things like aerodynamic jump, the changing BC as the bullet travels down range, finding the ammo the barrel likes, and then there is the WIND. Keep up the good work. Would like to chat sometime.

Kenny is amazing. I finally had a good day with no wind to give my new barrel a fair test. I have not had a chance to get and lot test Eley Tennex like Kenny suggested. I was shooting Eley match, a lot that worked well in the old barrel with a tuner. The new barrel preformed absolutely amazing. At 300 yards a 7 out of 10 shots were under 3" vertically and less than 1/2" horizontal. 6 of the 10 were under 2" vertically. At 200 yards 5 of 10 were within a 1" circle. Just for a baseline, 10 shot groups of the Eley Match was producing sd's of 7 to 15 over a magnetospeed, with one 10 shot groups of 4.1. Kenny's service is above and beyond what you expect.

I'll say this, ive been through 3 CZ 457 Barrels, the factory MTR, an IBI, and Lothar Walther and im not quite happy enough to trust any of them in competition. They're MOA Barrels...... but each has its quirks that introduce variables like Cold Bore Shift and being Very Ammo Picky. And perhaps you hit the nail on the head with those Cutouts on the Tenon, If they arent needed that's just a huge upgrade to stability.

Just sent my CZ 457 back to CZ to have them test the accuracy. Tested over 100 different lots of Tenex & the best average of 5 - 5shot groups was .51 at 50 yards. They guarantee 1 MOA so I sent it to them to fix. Wish I would have seen this video first, I would have gladly volunteered to be a "test subject". Great video & when will you release a price to re-barrel???

If you install the MDT aluminum butt pad holder it would probably balance with the current barrel length. It cuts a lot of weight from the steel one.

Hi , I've been watching your video's and I have a 457 that i would like to have a longer barrel fitted . I intend to shoot out past 300 yards and would be interested in what spec on barrel you would suggest . Length i'm guess 24 inch ? but ... Cut or Button and what twist would you go with ... Is there a make you would pick over the others ? . I ask as I'm over in the UK so a long way away with a lot of red tape to get past . Love the video's keep them coming .

I have a 457 in a Bravo chassis. I have a XLR Element 4 chassis on order, probably won’t see it until late spring. If you rebarrel the 457 will a chassis swap effect all the work that you do to the action? I shoot bench rest and I came away confused about what you were saying about barrel length. My goal is to be proficient in the 200-300 yard range.

When shooting Eley Tenex are you using random velocity boxes or are you using a particular velocity. I know you are all about getting good groups with your barrels but I would love to see you shoot an ARA unlimited class target with the CZ to see how they perform over the whole target.

Ive lot tested that particular lot in a different rifle and found the velocities to be consistently low SD's. Usually have really good results with that ammo with all the rifles I build

@@EagleEyeShooting I think I’m picking up what you’re putting down. I’ve never liked the look of a tuner on the end of a barrel, but I’ll give it a shot (no pun intended). I have a 16” MTR barrel and a 20” MTR barrel which alternate living in a Manners. 16” is not ammo picky what so ever, doing a .5 - .6 at 100 with CCI STD. The 20” prefers Sk type ammo. I’ll listen and give this tuner a go. Thanks for all your R&D and sacrificing all your ammo in the name of science lol.

1.1” is the max you say? Good to know for my scope height “future proofing”. Maybe go full 26” to get the balance right? If you can really get these to keep 10-20 shots in one inch at 100 (in excellent conditions and tuned ammo) I’m so in! I see you are using tenex is that an just working better for you than the lapua high end stuff? I’m inclined to go tenex just because that’s what I see being used locally and KSS let’s you order the lots online with relative ease.

Our shop is only offering new barreled actions or complete builds. After much testing with many different actions. The tolerances found as well as extraction issues cannot insure the same accuracy. Our vendors allow us to exchange the actions so we can control its fitment. Check our IsYourSixCovered on KZbin or X-Ring. They live in NC.
