There so much things to do with Korean men and women team if they want to play in 2028 Olympic. Both team are struggling. Their players are too much in comfort zone in their own league with their fans treating them like an idol. They need to change their play style instead of playing slow v-league volleyball style they need speed for them to be able to play well in international level. Their lack of resources made it hard for both team since their league are small. The club only revolves around the same players lack of rising newcomers. The club will give a big pay of a mediocre players just for them to stay and play in their respective clubs. Their low pay for Foreign players compared to their domestic ones, does not attract great foreign players to play there. In fact most club depend hugely to their foreign players to score.

@@oldfrend Korea has their own domestic league. Different from US which has no domestic league, so players are encourage to play in oversea league like Italy or Turkey. In Korean league every player can play overseas after their 5-year rookie contract ends if they get offers from any overseas clubs (the Korean league is kind of complicated for non-fans; when players become pro-rookie players playing in the V-league, they’re obligated to play with their respective club for 5 years before they become a free agent). But one thing is that all Korean clubs are generous with their pay. They paid exorbitant wages just to have the players play for their club. The setter, aka captain, for the men's NT team received 1.08B won (810K€ a season). He was the highest paid volleyball player in Korea. Many of the male players received higher salaries than KYK, although they had no impact like her. Meanwhile, in the women's league, Lee Soyoung is paid the same amount as Zhu will get in Italy. Kim Heejin is offered a higher contract for next season after the VNL ends (she showed poor performance in the VNL and Olympic) just because she is popular. Many of their players have higher salaries compared to their skills. If they play overseas, it will be hard for them to reach those figures, plus the fact that they need to start from the bottom again in a foreign country.

@@maxzak5310 volleyball is very popular sport there especially after the Olympic. They have solid fanbases. The women volleyball in Korea even resembles the idol industry. The club's marketing the players like an idol where they sell membership and goods. Popularity of a club is also followed by their star players, fans follow players rather than clubs. That why it’s important to secure their “franchise star” for the club popularity. Fans support them regardless of victory or defeat. The stadium is always full in every matches. They have a good ratings. Recently the media said that Kim Heejin popularity is said to be on par w KYK in Korea, it’s necessary for IBK to secured her from moving to any club although her skills’s not as good as Kim

I always knew that v league was a problem but couldn't put it into words and now you've explained everything and I manage to connect the dots! I've watched some of their games (v-league), it was slow & lack of variety plays when compared to turkey & italy leagues. They do not have the urgency of preparing young players once KYK retired. And now as expected they showed their worst performance in their history of VNL. I don't see hope for them unless they change their players mindset.

근데 진짜 열심히 해줘서 경기를 결국 이긴 건 너무나도 좋지만 체코랑 호주 상대 3-2로 겨우겨우 이겻다는건 아직 vnl 갈 실력은 아닌듯함 냉정하게 세터 센터 세대교체가 시급해보이고 아니 근데 남배는 실력은 둘째쳐도 투지와 열정이 이렇게 보이는데 여배 vnl보면 왤케 열정이 없어보엿지? 한경기 성공률 20프로도 안나오는 김희진이랑 이소영이 스티시악이나 헤르보츠 같은 선수들보다 높은 연봉 받는거랑 이고은이 세계 최고 세터 보워시랑 연봉 높거나 비비는 것만 봐도 답 나오긴 하는데 하 갈길이 멈 남배 여배 둘다

이게 맞다 k리그도 유소년팀 리그(b팀운영) 함으로써 강원fc에서 양현준이라는 스타가 나왔듯이 안그래도 인구풀 적은 배구판에는 새로운 얼굴들이 기존선수들을 밀어내지못하고(당연히 힘듬.. 허수봉도 가비지타임때나 강제로 쓰이면서 큰거) 은퇴하는경우가 많기에 용병연봉한도같은걸 더 줄여서라도 유소년팀 운영하는게 맞다 감독도 외국인감독좀 써보자 대한항공은 산틸리 틸리카이넨 같은 감독들 1년안에 바뀌 스피드배구잘만 하더라 진짜 ㅠㅠ
