I have a 2018 D'Angelico EXL-1 jazz box that is very nice. Great neck, great electronics, great build quality and seriously playable right out of the box. The solid bodies look fantastic and I'll bet the quality is great. I seriously doubt that headstock is going to be a big seller though in solid bodies. I really think they need to do something about the design of it even though it doesn't take anything away from the guitars performance.

Interesting (for me) that these two should pop up on Darrell's channel now. Two weekends back I brought home the Atlantic in natural finished swamp ash. Everything else appears identical to the black one Darrell shows in the beginning of the video. Locking tuners, split-coil humbuckers, beautiful fit and finish and incredible playability. And maybe most importantly, tone, tone and tone... and what I mean by that is that not only does it have great tone, but it has a ton of different tones (much as Darrell demo'ed on this video, even though the pickup config is different on the Bedford.) These are GREAT first solid-body's from D'Angelico... As an aside, while the guitar was waiting for its case at the check-out counter, a store employee (speaking to another store employee) said "$hit!, someone's buying this? I love this thing..." And FWIW, it was the last one they had in stock, so I think the word is out!!! Darrel, I'll be looking forward to your review on the Atlantic!

I'm still new like I said so trying to decide is just really confusing with all the choices out there
@csm63244 жыл бұрын
redmagerebel yeah man, tbh you can most sounds out of any guitar, amp settings/pedals and how you play said instrument can change tone tremendously. The thing I’ve learned most with guitar is get the body shape or colour that inspires you the most and of course how it feels in your hands! Might struggle to get it chugging death metal but you could still do it if you put your ear to it!

Guys, I need help I went to my guitar tech, and I saw an Epiphone G400 Custom (3 pickups version), it was dissasembled, and he said he can sell me the guitar for 305$ I can talk to him and maybe buy it for a lower price, but the thing is that I don't know which pickups are gonna suit it better Does It worth? The guitar needs new pots, pickups (maybe), tuners and the bridge I think that putting 275$ in the guitar for selected components will make It a really good guitar with nothing to envy to higher price guitars I should look to It with more detail though I play metal mostly, but I want a versatile guitar

But Darell say's this guitar comes with straplocks as if that is not the rule. In other words do I have to take a drill to assemble them If a guitar doesn't have them. Or do the guitars that don't have them standard have holes to attach them to the guitar?

Great looking guitar, except for the massive pickguard. I would like to see it with a smaller pickguard on one side only, or no pickguard. It would also have been nice if they would have put gold covers on the pickups to match the bridge and tuners.
