Chammanthypodi (Dosapodi/ Idlypodi)
Ingredients
1. Black gram dal - 1 ½ cup
2. Red chilli - 25 to 30
3. Curry leaves - 3 to 4 twigs
4. Asafoetida /Kayam/ Perumkayam - 10 to 15 gm or 2 to 3 one inch piece
5. Salt - to taste
6. Black pepper - 1 ½ to 2 tbs
Preparation
1. Dry roast all items till light red and crisp except salt & pepper.
2. Powder with salt & pepper when slightly cool.
3. Sieve together once and keep in an air tight bottle.
4. Take the required amount in a small bowl & make a paste with oil at the time eating.
5. Enjoy with idly / dosa immediately.
