I love how both styles shine with the creations and explanations : Like Jess’s are more « it’s both lovable and disgusting », as we might not have to kill it, it’s just minding it’s own business And Adan’s are more based on « how they evolved in order to survive » and are ready for combat any time any place anywhere Both similar and yet kinda different, I love it !

When they started talking about the moon as a construct I immediately thought of my *favorite* video game which actually did this. *SPOILERS* *AHEAD* Kid Icarus Uprising was the game and it’s really good so turn back if you don’t want spoilers for it In one chapter the main character Pit is sent to the Arlon’s Lunar Sanctum which pretty much looks like a second moon but is actually a huge prison/super weapon and the moon thing is just camouflage. However although it’s a prison it’s meant to keep people out just as much as it’s meant to keep its lone prisoner in. The Lunar Sanctum houses the Chaos Kin, an evil, parasitic creature whose abilities threaten even the gods. Once it latches onto its victim it can control their every action and word like a puppet, using them to spread chaos throughout the world. Eventually it rips out and consumes the soul of its host, leaving them little more than a statue. Pit and his goddess Palutena unknowingly set the creature free when they attack the sanctum and defeat Arlon (because in trying to be loyal to Viridi the goddess of nature, he refused to disclose any vital information). After a certain event in the game there is a 3 year time skip and this becomes relevant because the Chaos Kin took hold of Palutena and trapped Pit in a magic ring. The Chaos Kin is making Palutena go to war with humanity. With the help of an old human ally Pit must reclaim his body and then with the help of Viridi and his literal mirror twin (no really he came out of a mirror) they must save Palutena. There’s more but I’m not gonna say more if no one asks cuz I don’t know if anyone cares. Basically it was a seemingly cool level that seemed insignificant to the story except to progress but became really important and cool.

In one of my custom settings, there’s a monotreme equivalent of chickens with membranous wings, fleshy beaks with teeth like prehistoric birds, and colorful spines on their heads in place of combs. They are not as domesticated as chickens, and in swarms they like attacking colorful small creatures (such as gnome clowns), but they do lay more eggs per year than regular chickens in that world. If anyone IRL has raised free-range chickens, Calcuttas behave like those chickens while excited or moody, but 24/7

The idea of a construct that resembles the Moon reminds me of an old monster concept of my own: A magical crystalline entity called the False Moon or Lunar Mimic. It lives in places where there are massive amounts of ambient magical energy and hides itself in the way of the true moon when it is in the Material Plane, using it's crystalline form to blend in. If disturbed, the False Moon will appear closer to the ground (Though still very high up) and rain down massive shards of magical crystals and destructive energy blasts. It's not as big as the real moon, only about a 500 feet across or so. It is also very hard to destroy: the only way to destroy one is to go inside it and attack it's core which is heavily protected by defensive crystal structures. It's basically a boss and a dungeon if adventurers make it angry.

My current character is a goblin/halfling hybrid! I named the race Hoblings, and my character is a ranger named Leaf! They're very kind and a bit naive, but they're also a quick thinker, and their ideas have saved the party quite a lot of hp lol

The Hazard Hound is both nightmare fuel and an AMAZING idea. Wow. (the Pup is cute, yeah XD) The Pugzard colours are SO NICE! The Wallow is really scary. And a really cool idea too. Damn! A really cool foe in a campaign. Far Reach: there is a Nitrome game that is called Frost Bite. There is an enemy that reminds me of this XD The Gobboc is actually interesting! A lot! (Humanoids are my least favourite type of monster because they're too "human like"). I bet Gobbocs gods include the Legend of Zelda's chickes HAHAHAHA. Ok. I need Gobbocs in a campaign. I'll ask my DM! Like Cobolds they could be really cool to use. And the Lunalipsy idea is so nice! Adorbs!
