Have a gnome chronurgy wizard now and God its fun. Chronal Shift is so good it almost seems broken...and thats the level 2 ability! Ran my guy similar to DeLorean, he tried to create the perfect clock and broke space-time, seeing the past, present and future in just a moment and going almost crazy

An example of the level 10 Chronomancer/Chronurgy Feature was that early on in Critical Role's Campaign 2 there was a character who had a Fireball spell frozen in a bead and essentially suicide bombed an official in their home with the frozen Fireball spell for screwing them over and destroying their family (if I remember right).

Im not sure if that was what he was. There is an item called a Necklace of Fireballs, which has beads that turn into the spell when used. I think that is what happened.
