I remember being in the movie theater with my 17 year old son watching Saving Private Ryan . When it was over we were standing, waiting for the place to clear out when an old guy walked by us and I could see that he had been crying. I asked him if he was alright. He replied, "I was there, it was just like I was there again." I wish I had stayed a little longer and talked with him.

I am the kid he hugs in the video. I am beyond honored to have met a hero like him. The first thing he asked me after my expression of gratitude was where I was from. When I said I'm from Denmark he told me he loves danish cheese. The group I was with couldn't help but laugh at the innocent comment after all those gruesome memories he shared. That moment will live with me forever, and I'll never forget him and the cause he fought for. Thank you Frank 🙏

I just have no words, getting shot down before entering the beach and having a kid right in front of you get his head blown out and crying

What really got me tearing up is when Frank gestured to all the crosses and saying how those men wouldn't get to walk their daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, and how they would never get to hold their grandchildren in their arms. That man is a real hero.

My great grandad was part of WW2. He sadly passed away a year ago. He flew in the paratroopers to Normandy. Whenever we go to eat many people would pay their respects and honor to him. I love you Poppie. 👆✝️😪

They won't be able to walk their daughters down the aisle, or be there for their grandkids graduation, But they died so you could be there for yours. Absolute heroes. Rip
