Great one. FYI, you can make your own cord locks by simply tying half a triple fisherman's bend around the lines with a short piece of bankline or by using one of your famous bushcraft "zip ties." Might be worth a video.

hey Blackie. here's what I do with my tarp ridge line, thought I'd share it. get a couple of the small plastic jacket toggles like we're on the old school coats of the 70s. theyre usually black plastic and have 2 small holes in. thread them on some bank line through both holes. prusick onto your ridge. easy, light weight, ready made toggle to hang a tarp from. hope that explanation makes sense..

Hi Blackie! If I see something in a video that makes me want to go out immediately after and start practicing the technique, I know that was time well spent. That happens A LOT with your videos.

Thanks Blackie, I have a French military tent , I love it except for those dadgum tent lines. This is my new fix . Especially the one wish using the bungie line that way if I do trip over one it will give a bit and go back into place. I've also seen people tie glow sticks to the lines at knight. Lol !! Thanks again brother.

I like the hack that Dave Canterbury recently posted. He took the excess line, wound it all up around his fingers and took the whole thing and larks headed it around the guy line.

It's great to become a master of rope tying and knots, but I prefer premade loops, bungee cords, carabiners, toggles and assorted hardware. Why not make things easier and more versatile. I like the way you simplify everything.

Blackie! OMG this info is so helpful BUT it’s buried in your 7+ years of video history. It took me hours of searching your channel to find it again. Is there a way you could add drawstring clips or guy line tips in maybe a repost so it can be found easier?

If you don't have a cord lock you can use the tab from your soda can.

well Blackie i've never cared for a bungee in the mix i've never found any that would last a summer let alone a year before losing it's stretch!!

@@BLACKIETHOMAS yeah i saw that that was more out of disgust for the stuff and just having to strip out half a dozen pieces of it the day before!! when i get disgusted by something i immediately start trying to turn everyone and their brother against it for some reason!

Looks like you're still carrying the WCSK! I still love my WCSK! I still think that it the most versatile knife around. Along with a sak and you're going to be in fine shape in the woods as far as small cutting tools go! Thanks for another useful video! ATB Sam Adler from Vietnam
