Said he matched the ID of a shoplifter. They detained and searched the kid but had to let him go. Then the cop pulled me to the side and warned me about "trouble makers". Too much drama I know what you saying dude. But thomas jefferson aint say ALL that. You gotta learn to space, partition and indent. Also Thomas Jefferson was a notorious slave master and the ONLY thing that might make him seem like less of a racist was that he had a fetish for black women (who can blame him). The problem was he sired like 30 children who still had no freedom despite being half white and most sexual encounters with black women were basically rape.

I do wish he would be more careful with his language. Almost nothing true can be said about "white people" or "black people" because when we say that its supposed to mean EVERY white person and EVERY black person. I understand what he means when he says "the only time white people watch black people is if they are dancing or running or singing" but someone not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt could say "hey im white and I engage with black people in all sorts of different facets of life, thats racist!" and they wouldnt really be wrong would they? I know its hard to be super precise all of the time when youre communicating but when its about important issues like this i wish he wouldve gone the extra mile

Same here. Hughley is not only one of the best comedians, but he's so insightful. I also would like to state, I'm a white woman. I know I've had privileges that PoC don't get. But I know when someone has made an impact on me when I find myself uncomfortable with something said. That signals to me that I have an issue in my thinking I need to investigate and improve on. I need to find out what about what this person said that makes me feel that way. In the case of being uncomfortable when I hear white supremacists, I realize that part of what makes me feel that way is the fact I'm white too and I don't want to be associated with them. In the case of PoC talking about the pain if being targeted foe their skin, I get uncomfortable because it happens right under my nose every day. I guess my point to other white folks is: look hard at yourself when you feel uncomfortable. Maybe you can help make things better by becoming more aware and a better person too!

N W i think what Valerie was trying to say but failed to without expletives is that it’s very easy and passive for white people (which I’m strongly assuming you are) to minimize the level of impact we face today, or always. It’s very dismissive to chalk it all up to the media bowing things out of proportion. For every 1 incident you hear about on the news 100 more incidents happen you never hear about. I don’t share all the or any of the racist encounters I face in my life. Too insinuate the media is blowing it out of proportion is insulting

The black community has been telling us about the treatment they receive from police officers for decades. Go watch videos of black comedians from any decade. It's a virtual lock you'll hear jokes referring to this. As time has passed it has only increased, which makes sense. Speaking about police racism in the 50's came with a justified fear of violent reprisal!

You are obviously not familiar with TDS. Almost everyone on it calls Trump a racist and rapist; unless it's particularly witty or comes from an unusual source (i.e., a Republican), it's par for the course. However, many of us are sickened by the idea that we are now expected to listen to every reality star whose only talent lies in self-promotion as if they were important newsmakers. Omarosa took her ignorance, willingness to sell out and poor work ethic to the White House to allow Trump to pretend it wasn't the mighty-white house. We paid her a salary for no other reason and now she's profiting from their "You're fired" shtik again. Meanwhile, she's giving cover to the horrendous changes in education, environmental standards and corporate greed that she was hired to distract from. While serious news sources are working at finding diplomatic ways to portray her while covering her leaks, those of us who resent watching her play her games on a worldwide stage are relieved to hear her called out.

I think often, Asperger's is diagnosed when it's really your personality. You sound like me in every way. I'm factual, I don't make decisions based off of emotions and can often seem cold, I struggle to listen, but I still take in lots of information. I am what the MBTI calls an INTP. A lot of us have Asperger's like symptoms. It can be explained through how our brains work.

miraid06 My parents believed it was just my personality at first but it wasn’t. I am a very focused and detailed oriented person when it comes to certain things and once I’m focused on something (which doesn’t always happen) I will ignore everything else and focus only on that until I finish it (if only it worked with doing research papers 😓😓). For example, when I was younger, when ever I did jigsaw puzzles, I would work on it until it’s finished. One time during Kindergarten, I was working on a 5,000 pieces barn animal jigsaw puzzle and the teacher was standing next to me for about 5 minutes calling me to return back to my seat. I didn’t even acknowledge her or my mother when she came to me pick me up after my teacher called her. I cried and pouted for days and I wouldn’t leave it alone... I really wanted to finish that puzzle. I’m also seen as cold. I’ve been seeing a therapist for about 4 years now and it’s still really hard because I really more on thinking and logic rather than feelings. It’s why I can’t watch romance or horror movie otherwise I’ll spend hours ‘criticizing’ their choices. Social skills... 😬😬yeah, that’s nonexistent. When I was first diagnosed, it was still something new to even doctors and psychologists.

Conita Johnson It’s no problem and you’re not offending me at all. Being curious and asking questions of what you don’t know is always better than having pre-made assumptions. For me, I did have difficulty with school. When I didn't find what I was learning interesting, it was really hard for me to grasp it (specifically history). It was easier for me for other subjects, such as math and science, and I especially love any kind of extracurricular classes like art and band. I’m finishing college and it was really hard finding something I wanted to major in because what I’m most interested in wasn’t specified as a major, they were different majors. I love art but I also learning about culture and the history about art and culture (I found that I wasn’t really interested in Western history but I live learning about other cultures past and their art... it seems I interests are very specified in some cases). With my career, I found that I don’t mind working and I love hard work. I absolutely despise any office work and I rather do physical work. I guess it has something to do with not being able to stay still and keeping my mind occupied on a lot of different things, just not one. I used to be a secretary for a preschool and I didn’t like it at all. I found out that I preferred being outside or in the classrooms with the kids, helping them. I am now a teacher at another preschool and, I also work at a warehouse because I like being active. I am also a full time student;.... I like being busy. I personally find that independent living is the best for me (I live in the woods with just my animals... that’s as independent as I can get).

Simon Oei Which native americans though? America is a HUGE continent and it doesnt help that there are 2 american continents. Also, fun fact. The Aztecs (Brown, not white people) forced hundreds of tribes out of mexico. These native mexican people were either forced north out of Aztec territory, captured as slaves to the aztec people or murdered. Then a couple thousand years later the spainards turned up; and did the exact same thing to the aztecs and mayans. Whichever ones they didnt kill had Catholicism shoved down their throat and they were crossbred with the spanish until they became mexicans. America is a huge continent my friend. Manifest destiny is some bullshit, but humanity is sorta awful in general. We cannot fix the past, so living in the past is a waste of time. @@meginna8354 nah kid, stats says most cops are killed by whites, Interracial crime happens between (black male - white male) and (white male and black male). Thing is exoneration rates are more on blacks than whites even in Interracial attack between 2. Keep that in mind 1.black people are 7 times more likely than white people to be wrongly convicted of murder 2.black people are 3.5 times more likely than white people to be wrongly convicted for sexual assault 3.black people are 12 times more likely than white people to be wrongly convicted for drug crimes After researching and found out the facts about how judicial system works in this country and how their verdict goes on:- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- African Americans are only 13% of the American population but a majority of innocent defendants wrongfully convicted of crimes and later exonerated. They constitute 47% of the 1,900 exonerations listed in the National Registry of Exonerations (as of October 2016), and the great majority of more than 1,800 additional innocent defendants who were framed and convicted of crimes in 15 large-scale police scandals and later cleared in ‘group exonerations. -The best national evidence on drug use shows that African Americans and whites use illegal drugs at about the same rate. Nonetheless, African Americans are about five times as likely to go to prison for drug possession as whites - and judging from exoneration's, innocent black people are about 12 times more likely to be convicted of drug crimes than innocent white people. -African Americans imprisoned for murder are more likely to be innocent if they were convicted of killing white victims. Only about 15% of murders by African Americans have white victims, but 31% of innocent African-American murder exonerees were convicted of killing white people -African-American sexual assault exonerees received much longer prison sentences than white sexual assault exonerees, and they spent on average almost four-and-a-half years longer in prison before exoneration -Assaults on white women by African-American men are a small minority of all sexual assaults in the United States, but they constitute half of sexual assaults with eyewitness misidentifications that led to exoneration Law enforcement misconduct and racism also played major roles, such as police deliberately targeting black people for raids, arrests, and false confessions, witnesses identifying the wrong suspect (“a notoriously error-prone process when white Americans are asked to identify black strangers”), and preexisting racial biases among jurors and judges influencing convictions and sentences Overall, the study paints a very clear picture: Black people are disadvantaged within the criminal justice system, leading to massive disparities even among those who are entirely innocent "WHITE MALES COMMIT A DISPROPORTIONATE AMOUNT OF CRIME COMPARED TO THEIR POPULATION. They commit more sex-related crimes, domestic violence related crimes, and are more likely to kill at their places of employment. According to the FBI, in the category of child sexual assault, white males made up nearly 87% of all offenders imprisoned for child sexual assault vs. 5% for black male and 8% for other races. @@meginna8354 Black Americans Given Longer Sentences than White Americans for Same Crimes A new academic study of 58,000 federal criminal cases has found significant disparities in sentencing for blacks and whites arrested for the same crimes. The research led to the conclusion that African-Americans’ jail time was almost 60% longer than white sentences. According to M. Marit Rehavi of the University of British Columbia and Sonja B. Starr, who teaches criminal law at the University of Michigan Law School, the racial disparities can be explained “in a single prosecutorial decision: whether to file a charge carrying a mandatory minimum sentence….Black men were on average more than twice as likely to face a mandatory minimum charge as white men were, holding arrest offense as well as age and location constant.” Prosecutors are about twice as likely to impose mandatory minimums on black defendants as on white defendants. In federal cases, black defendants faced average sentences of 60 months, while the average for white defendants was only 38 months. The report concludes that sentence disparities “can be almost completely explained by three factors: the original arrest offense, the defendant’s criminal history, and the prosecutor’s initial choice of charges.” -David Wallechinsky, Noel Brinkerhoff To Learn More: A Good Reason to Do away with Mandatory Minimums? Was at the ATM and this white guy was coming toward me, so I took out my 💳 and walked fast to my 🚘. He was pissed. 😂 He must be asking himself, why the hell this black guy thinks I’m gonna rob him? Well you guys do that to us all the time so why not play a reverse psychology game to y’all. Now I don’t that all the time with white people. When I’m in my car and I see them coming, I just lock 🔒 the car . I make sure they see me locking the car. 😂 They get so angry. 😂
