I saw Kasey last night in Sydney. She was funny, warm and humble, and gave an amazing performance.

Kasey is a good introduction to the Australian music scene over the past two decades; but our musical talent goes back to the 60's, with several artists and groups finding success overseas. One of Australia's great artists is John Farnham, he is the only Australian to have achieved number 1 hit albums and singles over five consecutive decades; only rivalled by Cliff Richard, who achieved the same feat at an international level. I would recommend you react to John Farnham singing The Reason Why, co-written by Richard Marx; I would suggest the performance from the 1994 ARIA Awards, with Richard Marx on piano.

Bit embarrassed as an Aussie that I overlooked Kasey Chambers based purely on the genre, but after seeing this a few years back I gave myself an uppercut and a stern talking to. I listened to her back catalogue and now I'm a fan. Even went to a few of her gigs and she's awesome live. Great reaction ladies. Noice one

Thanks ladies :) Great reaction :) Kasey Chambers is an Australian legend: the youngest person to be inducted into the Australian Music Hall of Fame, a dozen albums and has more than 30 ARIA Awards (the AU Grammy's). She is beloved but is ignored by radio and was shunned by Sony. She's been performing in her father's band since she was 12 years old (her dad is on the steel guitar on stage here). She had some pop hits in the 90s but her heart and soul is Country in her own style. She wanted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this song because she loves Eminem, and she had the time to rearrange and compose this masterpiece during lockdown. She is showing so much emotion because she has lived this to a degree as well. At the time of recording she was 46 years old and is a mother of three.

This is actually footage from all the fans that were at the performance. They never intended to release a video. But this song blew up big time. So they asked all the fans for the videos that they recorded on their phones.

@@sicario1913 Welcome to the gang!! Also, that's a very cool backstory to the video! I didn't even realize that it was a compilation of multiple different videos but if they all used the original audio then they did a fantastic job editing it.

This is what you get when you have a covid lock down and a great artist wanting to rework her favorite song, her father on slide and brother backing up. Not pretty enough and Aint no little girl are other of her great songs.

great reaction ladies, just subbed and liked from australia, kasey is one of our biggest country music stars. it would be great if you could continue to showcase the wealth of talent from our country that a lot of the world have not heard. try matt corby singing brother, the live for lie a version clip, another brilliantly unique performance

The song is written in 2 parts, 1st is "He, Him". 2nd is "I", "Me". She picked up on that and BANG.

Kasey Chambers is an accomplished Australian country singer-songwriter, who has won multiple awards and accolades for her work; her 12 studio albums, and hit singles are a testament to her great ability to blend genres within her music. I would recommend you react to her 2017 single Ain't No Little Girl, it has a bit of blues/jazz style mixed in. She is the youngest female artist to be inducted into the ARIA(Australian Recording Industry Association) Hall of Fame.

You'd really love her own song . 'Ain't no Little Girl' - live at the Bluegrass underground. Just leaves it all out there every time.

Kasey is one of Australia's top Country/Folk/Bluegrass singers. She's got more than a dozen albums under her belt and is the youngest person ever inducted into the Australian Recording Industry's Hall of Fame. Her strength is her ability to share her emotions with us through her songs. If you want to hear more of her, try 'Not Pretty Enough' - about her frustrations with the radio stations refusal to play her music (that song ended up being incredibly popular on the radio, so she got her revenge), 'Captain' about the stresses of life and wanting just to retire and someone else do all the worrying. 'Aint No Little Girl' is about a adult woman's reaction to her man stuffing her around and, my favourite, 'Nullarbor Song (Live)' - about homesickness. As with most Australian artists, live performances will usually be better.

Thanks for your reaction and appreciation of how she made it her own. The emotion, pain, vulnerability , defiance and anger she brings to Eminem's terrific lyrics is amazing. She's lived that pain in her own personal and professional life.

I love her voice so much; this sounds insanely good. I've never heard of this lady, but now I have to look her up cause this was sick. I will admit, I was getting a little impatient and discovered that watching the video in 1.25x speed also sounds really good 😭 Usually I have no problem with slower songs, but once you guys mentioned that it was 8 minutes long it all made sense cause I was like dang this feels like it's going on forever. I love finding new music/artists on this channel though, people request the coolest songs!

I seriously love that you watched it on 1.25x speed! 😂 You crack me up! I really loved this take of this song! So cool! She kinda gives Alanis Morissette vibes. I also loved the way she was rocking out to the music with her long hair! 💜🤘-D

Came back to watch 7:55 - 8:30 on 1.25x speed for the 100th time because it's just so perfect 🤣 I wish I were a sound engineer or something so I could just download a copy of the song at that speed...smh.
