What's crazy is that Rick is not a big dude at all, but the guy just straight up DELETES recoil. I probably have 6 inches and 60lbs on him, but I guarantee his gun moves at least 30% less than mine. One of my favorite instructors to watch.

Question not a criticism, but why do none of these channels offer skill set on shooting targets with armor theory….. what I mean is simply tape a cardboard cut out of a SAPI to your target covering vitals and how to shoot around that… maybe not important idk im just a dude on KZbin comments but that’s a video I feel like would go far and training that’s needed in the world of level 3 plates being available to everyone.

He speaks faster than I hear, lol. I wish I had that kind of intensity. It’s like time is dilated and to him we’re all moving in slow motion. I’ll concede now that I’ll never be that fast and accurate, not if I trained 10 hrs a day for 10 years. Envy is such a dark emotion and so difficult to suppress. I’m ashamed to admit that there’s a part of my mind thinking, “Fuck this guy!” Alas, all I can do is work to be better today than I was yesterday, to be ready for the unfortunate position of needing to use this skill against a baddie. If the baddie is Jim, though, I’m fucked.

Just ran it! 16.48 HF. Not my best work but gives me a lot of data on what to improve and where my failure points were. Averaging around 1.3s for each string. Keeping the splits the same across the 5 strings of fire wasn't the most challenging part but keeping that 1st shot time the same was hard. A zone is pretty fuckin small at 25 yards.

🙋🏾♂️ a little confused as to why a chest hit is 5 and a headshot is 3? Depending on the situation (not likely) but shooting someone’s carrier wouldn’t neutralize the threat

Just out of curiosity, why are you already pointed in at the target and not at the ground or at a 45 between you and the target from your starting position?

Yeah I don’t get how this is difficult if ur at 5 yards a inch under the A zone before u shoot lol

It’s not low ready. It’s low cover. In his methodology the two are different positions. This is a situation where you’ve got a possible target and you’re covering down on it. Basically holding someone at gunpoint.
@writingonthewalls905217 күн бұрын
That’s not the point of this drill. If this were a drill assessing your mechanical deployment of the weapon from the low ready then okay. But it’s not. There’s different drills for that. This drill is isolating recoil management and establishment of certain fundamentals of speed and accuracy behind the gun. Not low ready and high ready.
@writingonthewalls905217 күн бұрын
@@Fittednocapnobody said it was supposed to be difficult . It’s a refinement drill that’s focusing on identifying and refining fundamentals of speed and accuracy.
@achillesheeltactical16 күн бұрын
@@zimbo9087 being at a low cover of the target is the starting position for this drill. Five rounds at 5 yard lines as fast as you can go is the course of fire focuses performance on demand executing the fundamentals at speed.

@@Instananners that’s just cheating yourself. Period. The only reason it’s even down is to assess if it needs to come all the way up.
