Jack's serve with the aero plus is insane. Amazing play from both and best of luck in college!

1Point in UTR is pretty considerable, but this was an amazing fight. Both these guys are going to be great assets to their teams. Can't wait to see these guys at even higher levels. As usual thank you Winston for the amazing show. M

I like the extra followup questions to their answers. I wonder how often these college players are stringing? Finally, I think Jack is playing the best I've seen him. Ethan looked like he could use a better warm-up and self-belief. Great job to everyone involved!

Great match between 2 great players, and I really liked the matchup between a Div 1 and a Div 3 recruit. I think their analysis of the match was spot on. Jack put more pressure on Ethan which got him easy volleys or errors from Ethan. All in all, a very entertaining set of tennis. Best of luck to the both of them as they begin their college careers!

Big congrats to Jack (real name John I guess?) for that amazing Zoo run... took down Exsted (who is top 30 ITF and already ATP ranked) and several other strong players... Impressive! Not sure how seriously he's taking it, but if he puts in a couple of years of REAL SERIOUS work, I think maybe he can give it a shot, ball weight seems to be getting there... :)

probably one of the best matches i saw on this channel

Jack strikes the ball in quite a unique way. He almost slashes at it and it spits the ball out at incredible speed but then the spins slows it down at the end of its trajectory. Not sure if that’s just me but I hadn’t seen the weight of ball before.

Jack’s serve and volley and net game in this match were on point!
@TehNomad13 күн бұрын
Jack probably had the best net game this match on the channel so far. He only missed like one volley and got passed once. Must be like a 90% conversion rate at net.

I enjoyed seeing Jack playing some serve and volley. It's kind of a lost art in today's game.

I feel like Ethan would benefit from making his shots deeper. Guys at Jack's level eat those short balls for lunch.

so many chances for ethan here. missed a lot of passes and didn’t make jack play. super important to do this. has very good offensive strokes but this would take him over utr 11 imo

Now use a real racket (85) with gut stings at 35 pounds.

I honestly wouldn't mind that. Changes in racket tech have taken some of the strategy and finesse out of the game (been playing/watching for 40 years).

@@BassByTheBay exactly. It’s now a boring robotic game. The players all seem lifeless. Mechanical. The charisma has left tennis. There are no more Connors McEnroe’s Nataste’s. Etc.
@kandyslayer9 күн бұрын
Tennis is still incredibly skill based, I don’t understand what making the sport more difficult and more tiring would achieve at this point.
@TimTheMusicMan8 күн бұрын
@@kandyslayer the modern equipment provides power, topspin and control to the player. It was a much more difficult game when original equipment was used. And tennis has lost its personality, there were elements of intrigue and personality that are gone now. All due to the equipment. The players are not required to leave the baseline now they don’t know how to play a mid-court and net game. It’s become a baseline game only. What happened to the other elements of the game. The modern equipment took that away.
@kandyslayer8 күн бұрын
@@TimTheMusicMan Power, topsin, and control are not just provided, they still take a ton of skill to master. Many great players come to the net and there are still many unique playing styles. I’m not sure about how old of tennis you’re talking about, but I think watching people moonball the ball every time was less entertaining than now.
