So true man! And no “regrind” will ever match a big billet cam unless its a hardweld by Webcam… and yes even if I just keep it on the shelf it’s a good souvenir :) it made History 😎 Same here man can’t wait and very curious on the power and powerband indeed

You and me both man! I can’t degree it as it hits everywhere I could prolly grind the spare identically ported head I have soon to degree But it has 0.510 intake lift and 0.496” exh lift bigger than a pro3 haha

Bruh, my first five speed Honda was an eg sedan, and I did a headswap using a d16a6 with the b7 block, I believe compression was like 11:1..... To me that a6 head was the best non VTEC single slammer Honda created.

Oh maaaan!!!! Sweet! Mine was an EG hatch and I swapped in a D16a6 that came off an ESi like my current.. locally the d16a6 came on the EG 4door so it’s like a 1600 version b7 cuz obd1 in the US the d16a6 came from the crx so it’s OBD0 but it only needs a b7 distributor and it becomes an OBD1 true on the a6 head!!!

The bisimoto custom regrind is close to what I run the bisimoto level2.X so the lope is kinda unnoticeable But the Mugen one I can imagine it as lopey as a Locked vtec Bseries pro3 atleast

Wait so you have a 70mm throttle body with the skunk2 intake manifold!? I heard that the 70mm throttle body was not good for the all motor set up. But I always thought the all motor engines need all the help they can get considering the setup type.

It really depends on the set up… my d16a6 runs a compression ratio most only do for “race set ups” And also a lot of misconception because it’s just a sohc or dseries… sure it’s just 1.6Liters But it also has 1mm more stroke than a B20 😎 89mm stroke b20 90mm stroke D16

Which ECU are you using ? I just came across a post of a reputed tuner running 13+:1 CR , stock cam Tb, ported head on THE STOCK ECU !!! Honda d16 sohc.

A former race driver of the Mugen CRX was selling it as he bought one of the 3 Mugen CRX + spares years ago

Not much but since it’s a Y series like our local roller rocker d16y5 someone years ago ported it real good but in the end it flowed just like a stock d16z6 So if it isn’t ported well it might just be worst Naturally running a d16z6 head upgrade even stock will be a good upgrade and rewiring to run an obd1 ecu for proper ecu tuning

bisimoto stage 2 esta no more vender pero pode ver a webcam they make cams por bisimoto and make their own (My Spanish is no bueno sorry 😂)

The rocker arms no.. (sorry missed this question) but the cam is too big I gotta grind off some areas of the head cuz the lobes hit Hence I haven’t degreed the Mugen cam yet I need to grind off space on my spare head hehe

@@thathondadude5974 it really depends but a regrind will NEVER match or beat a billet/cold steel core cam.. the Mugen cam isn’t a regrind And Mugen/King Motorsports makes 216hp with it for road race And “better” is always relative, Like a skunk2 pro2 is a better cam But for a B16a the Skunk2 Pro1 is better in many cases

+ Mugen has competed in Formula 3 and even reached Formula 1 back in the 90s with Jordan F1

I doubt it plus webcam can do hardweld and that’s $720 so I don’t think sohc guys will spend that much

Yes well I have it and because I always loved the sohc… I managed to find it… So Ofcourse some will claim to be “they’re all about sohc” but maybe it’s a trend for them? Cuz if they were real they’d find the rare stuff too hmmm

I mean don’t get me wrong it’s a nice cam and a souvenir hence I bought it when I had a chance On the flip side though Bisi of Bisimoto made 176whp on his regrind that went 12.68sec on his CRX before he went bigger welded that’s 12.68sec on a D16a6 non vtec :) “They” should reach that before looking for bigger hmm

Amigo I talked to you many times before I build a mini me last week d15b2 po8 -3head Y8 head gasket I modified the distributor of my ECM obdo to fit the p08-3 head and let the pgm-fi injector system duel point and I can tell you my CRX really wake up her sound is tuff like a muscle Ford car dp I didn't used the VTEC or install it and I can tell you the duel point fuel injector system give her the right amount of gas for this set up on bottom and high rpm I took her for a ride and man man she fly I when to put gas and people don't believe her sound she rumble dp lion sound nothing like multiple injector system that takes alway the cam old school style sound the beauty of old school car.And I can tell you one thing that I learn that people are wrong about the pmg- fi system it work like a Webber have the primary and the secondary is for higher rpm and I took it to 72000 rpm and was not nd or cut of of gas at all and I'm around 10.1 to 11.1 compression I wish you can hear her out amigo sounds beautiful I even build the distributor to fit the head right I can't wait for summer to put her to the text in the streets she was fast before but man this combo to her to another level and she put hard from low rpm to the higher rpm and real fast to man man I'm proud to build her her sound make me smile

@@SRDmotorsports thanks yeah I decided no to go VTEC at all amigo all that wires crap plus EMC crap hell know jjj I clean the head put Y8 head gasket the 272 Delta cam bold the pmg-fi system put it in time build my distributor set up put the key and bingo well adjust the valve to and bingo her sound is beautiful and with the lighter flywheel and gd clutch kit and the cam and compression perfect combination I took her out for a ride coming back took her to 7200 rpm and the duel point fuel injector system send the right amount for the compression and is like running a Webber carb but better because the segundary manifold runner is shorter than primary another word I figured out that the manifold really are made for higher rpm as well lower rpm by having the primary manifold runner little bit longer I'm really amazed how fast my CRX came out and how peppy she becomes nothing compared to stock at all it became a little beast with Harley nothing another head and a cam really that it plus the sound of the cam is unbelievable nice nice and she have a 2 in exhaust system free flow that it perfect for my home made combo 😉 thanks again probably with a nice bore and clean the inspection as well my manifold a list mile she will gain a bit more and probably will sound more deeper but I like it the way she is gd for me to kp playing and making people mad around jjjjjj 😁

@@SRDmotorsports the reason I said that the pmg-fi system duel point then a Weber car because is direct no vow or float at all meaning the gas not got nothing to hold back at all the gas go straight to the manifold by the EMC directly to the manifold and sparks plugs and here were the timing have a major play I ran my advance a bit plus I put Acura spark plugs because the Acura came with 9.6 compression hotter spark plugs by factory make sense and is logic 😁 work perfect hot spark plugs not bad for a amateur jjjjjj 😁 old school style tricks jjjj 😁 take care out there and drive you car like you stole it jjjj 😁 ok
