I love combining two piece Sigons with Angelic. Gloves/Boots specifically. The extra 30% attack speed hits a lot of characters break points.

for a barb: 3 pieces of angelic (2 swords, amu, ring), 3 pieces of cathan's (ring, mask, mail) and 3 pieces of sigon's (gloves, belt, boots). He was unstoppable. ;)

It's a really cool set. I've found the sword useful in act 2. My Sorc actually crushed skeleton and rad with that off weapon ED. It would benefit alot more adding some +damage to the base of the sword. Watching you upgrade the set is very interesting. Kinda gives the set more life for even nightmare uses! Very cool. The rings and ammy help anyone at any LVL who have attack rating problems.

Great video again, about time I subscribed. :) I love the full angelic set for early lvling paladin with zeal fire aura (going to be even more powerful coming 2.4) To overcome lack of weapon damage I wear bloodfist +5 to min damage, and full Hsarus set (one of the few two full sets that can be combined) giving +5 to max damage. At lvl 17 add Dusk deep unique helm, giving +8 max damage and even more resistance, and you'll be shredding trough normal difficulty. Did this with a warrior sorceress too, highly recommend it, so much fun. Static field a group, and hack away with your fire enchanted sickle. But that upgrade of the weapon is pretty good, well worth it. Enjoyed your video, thanks.

I did nearly the same thing with holy freeze zealer. Used sigons gloves with other pieces for 30% more IAS and the shield and tarnhelm for more +skills. Shredded stuff through nightmare. Would have loved to had life leach, but the build was very successful. With the new upgrade capacity, may make it stronger and safer.

The death set can pair quite nicely with this one for barbs. you can use the death sword in main hand and use the skills that just use the main hand for damage. two full set bonuses, with resists pretty close to capped in normal. two resists overcapped in normal. Served well for my barb up through act 5.

Full Angelics w/dual rings and Sigons in every other available slot easily carries a zealot through N/NM @ P8. Full stop in Hell difficulty, though. If patch pushes through like you've shown, it may be viable to keep going. Defense is the only real handicap as it is. Upgraded sets are going to be fun.

You drop so much good content. Love it! Did you discover a bug? The 75% increased dmg is applied 2 times after upgrade? On weapon first and then like might aura. On normal looking at your dmg stat it looks like the same of the weapon. But upgraded the dmg is scaled way up there.

When I'm leveling up a paladin through normal and most of nightmare, full set of Sigons with the Angelic Amulet, 2x rings and sword makes life easy. (Holy fire/zeal spec)

Good use for the full set is Holy Freeze Zealot. Weapon damage is not that important when you get a ton of cold damage to your attacks, and the super fast attack speed and AR boost helps a ton. Since lvl 20 Holy Freeze + maxed synergies gives something like 1000 cold damage to attacks, (achievable around lvl 60), it might be even able to get you through Hell on this character, if you are patient enough... But that might be the only character that could use full potential of whole Angelic set, and it is of course heavily outclased by more powerfull runewords.

Definitely used this and sigons on my holy freeze zealer all the way through nightmare. Very solid, very fast, very cheap. Tarnhelm for more skills and mf and you are also getting decent drops. Brick wall in A1 hell with cold immunity and lack of defense. Swapped gear at that point.

I'm thinking the low damage on the scimitar wouldn't matter so much for builds that add a ton of elemental damage to melee. Fireclaws druid or Enchantress for instance. Both don't care about the low damage on weapons.

Hmm. Never thought much about this set, but dosent it kinda scream "Enchantress"? The fast attack-speed carries the flat damage-bonus, the attack-boni give the sorc some more punch and the 20%-damage-to mana should work nice with mana-shield... Btw, just out of curiosity and not because I think its viable: If a Barb equips the full set with 2 sickles - does he get +500% dmg VS Undead? Thx 4 the vid

I see sets like this running norm until character hits 25-35 mark and upping certain pieces since the runes are super easy to farm, but most these normal sets I find it hard to justify an upgrade to elite when those runes can make much better runewords for hell. Even if I was in some horrible mf luck during ladder I wouldn't waste the runes trying to run hell with elite set upgrades, I feel people will be farming nightmare pretty hardcore at the beginning of ladder rather trying to upgrade meh sets, then the crap roll items will flood and then all is well. It is nice that they gave us the option but I think they will get more use of these sets if when you upgrade them the set bonuses increased(maybe certain green bonuses get upgraded when upped to exception/elite +1 skill on ammy becomes +2 skill when all items are elite, sickle gets 125% ED excep then 200% elite, armor gets 50 cold res at excep 50 light at elite.) I think something to these examples would make upping sets more viable, because as it stands now eventually people will get the runes/gear they want and then re-rolls and even bad rolled runewords/gear come to market and eventually no one even bothers upgrading unless its a niche build that maybe uses 1 or 2 pieces. Then the item is virtually untradeable due to how common these items can be found. Giving them flat extra bonuses will just make them broken in normal and nightmare, but useless in hell. The sets now are merely the new car we haven't seen in so long from blizzard that as soon as we buy it and take it off the lot(or equip it) you soon realize this car is no longer worth the price you paid and you will never get that money back. Ladder represents a nice stage of player poverty for some time. I think these items maybe used early on but regulated to ignored after a few months.

I would swop a Rhyme (easier with Tal Eth) instead of using Mila's. That kite shield really really needs a better carrot to entice players to use. No skills. No resists? NTY.

You may not have a shael at this time if your new, and milabregas drops a lot. I agree rhyme is better, but shael runes don't become common until nightmare. Milabregas shield is lvl 17 and rhyme is lvl 29.

A bit of an error tho, at 19:30 or so, because Topaz is the one that gives extra magic find and only for headpiece. You'd need to spend an Ist on it.

Do not upgrade angelics mantle and sickle! That armor class, at 12, is rated at 222 and upgrading it causes a bug that says lvl 25, yet can not be equipted until 30 it also only increases ac to 239. Simular with the sickle can't be equipped at the specified level.

So any Ed on a weapon counts as on weapon Ed, Because the green bonus is on the sabre is functions as on weapon Ed. If it was on any other piece or on the total set bonus it would function as off weapon Ed.

btw. the req lvl showing on the item in game is buggy, it shows 23-25, but it needs 28. pity if u upped it with char lvl 24 and can't use it next 4 levels. 😶‍🌫

Some, Like Iratha's can be used in hell with no issues. It really comes down to multiple factors like is there a weapon involved? Weapons usually hold sets back considerably. Resistances are also a big issue and if the set doesn't supply enough resistances it can be a downfall of the set. Especially if the set eats up too many slots like sigons.

Unlike Unique weapons such as Bonesnap or Ribcracker that have up to 300% ED, most upgradable set items have very low ED numbers... Tancred's Crowbill with 80% ED and Angelic Sickle with 75% ED might be used for upgrading to Exceptional to get you through a start of Nightmare, but not Hell viable at all... So other than getting more slots to your early belts, this update didn't really changed anything, as the only Hell viable sets remain the ones that were before.

From what I can tell the level stays the same if equipped by itself. It's not until a second piece of the same set is equipped that it gets a green bonus and the level goes up. If a set item has no green bonus its level never increases like sigons shield.
