Awesome video. I was looking to do the same thing with one of my Jakks Pacific units! I was going to use the stick and buttons, but after watching your video, I may get a stick that's a little more 'Robust'. I love how they have the board labeled already, makes it that much easier. I'm building a bartop arcade cabinet and I'll be using a Dell 17" VGA LCD monitor.

Nicely done! I had a similar idea of repurposing a plug and play game into a cabinet. I'm happy to see someone actually made a video of a working machine. It looks great and looking forward to your future videos!

This is so cool! Wish I could get one of these stand up cabinets for my dad. You mentioned in the previous video how the video signal originally coming out of the Plug n Play was really noisy. I'm having that same issue now. Nothing but green and pink blobs all over the screen. Is there a beginner's way to fix this?? And info appreciated, big thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm gonna do something kind of similar by tearing a Namco game apart, but instead of putting it into a cabinet, just upgrade the buttons and joystick, swap out the RCA cables for some longer ones, and 3D print a custom case to hold it ergonomically. :)

SelfDestructow it’s probably the easiest way to assemble an arcade without having to go through any configuration.

Is there a way I can just convert the Plug and Play's battery port into an actual wire plug?
@emausdetiquicia6636 Жыл бұрын
They used to sell a Power Adapter for these plug and plays. I've got them in eBay.

@@thegamemodder2000 if I recall, there is a JTAG connection near the chip that would give you a data connection. I haven’t explored this option however. You would have to solder wires into a JTAG interface then be able to connect to a pc. Good luck 👍
