Great video, thanks for sharing! What brand are the disks you fitted? Were you happy with the performance?

Did you upgrade the disc pads as well? If not, is this something you would consider doing?

I did not as it would not pass CT, but if it is allowed in your country ...do so

Nice video. I would, however, like to address a couple of things. I wouldn't consider the weight savings at all, as it really is a non-issue. Weight savings of any kind is good, we know that, and saving unsprung weight is even better. But in fact, there is no appreciable track difference in saving 5-10 kg per corner. Lotus themselves has fit heavy/light combinations of wheels and brakes over the years with no difference in track times, and even the heaviest of these on some of their track-only cars. But in general I agree that lighter is better. Second, drilled discs are NOT all show, you will find them on many racing cars even to this day, including track-only Lotus Cup cars. Beyond that, not all drilled rotors crack, many have no cracking with street use and the occasional track day. Some even have no cracking with hard track use. Can you show me a Cup car 308 rotor with cracks? Out of all the thousands that have sold? It may be better in the long-term to run grooved for a track-only car, but your video didn't mention that kind of car, so I would say that for the occasional track day drilled is perfectly fine. Lastly, it's always good to mention the sizes of things you're talking about, in this case, 288mm rotors. All in all a good video, keep up the good work.

Andrew Thompson points taken and txs. As to the cross drilled discs. That is a generic statement for normal road discs. Not for real track disks, Yes you are right i should have made that point. Thanks agsin

You forgot to mention rotational mass and unsprung weight
