Great job, Milt! The old machine runs beautifully. I love the sound of those old D4's and D7's.

Yes I can’t believe how easy pony starts. And diesel as well. Thinking this is going to be my new yard tractor lol

Well done Milt that diesel fired right up with no ether and runs pretty good , well worth the effort. I've enjoyed watching you pull the old girl down and put it back together- a big job on your own. Just getting them running is more than half the battle and the fun

This being my 4th cat revival. I have at least 2 more cats at hand (to date) I am confident the others will run as well. Well pretty confident anyway lol

I've got a 1944 D4 2T us7. Mines a wide track. I just got it running. Took me a couple months. Parts are getting hard to aquire for these old machines. Got my tracks off right now. Had the machine shop make me some new adjuster bolts. Almost done. Can't wait to put it to work.

So nice to work on these old gals. Is your US7 from the Yukon or Alaska?

@@beginlivinglikeaboss It is fun working on the old girl. And me being me. I kinda like the challange of finding parts and or making them. Did figure out one thing after getting it. Almost all the good machinist and machine shops are about gone. I don't know where it came from. I bought it off a guy locally that didn't know anything about it. He said he was told it was a 1971. It ran but not great. The main clutch was slipping was hoping it was adjustment but I don't get that lucky. It needed replaced. It drove on the trailer tho. A couple new pumps and rebuilt the injectors. She runs like a sewing machine now. My sons in the military and a guy he knows came by and looked at it and got the serial numbers. He said he could find out where it was sent to. He did say they're pretty rare in the US. Expecially in the wide track configuration.

Yes it’s the nicest running old D4 I’ve worked on to date. Starts and runs nice. No smoke and lots of power.
