Really helped me this to find if I had any local stations, thank you very much! Works like a dream and amazing audio quality too!

lots of study to do before you can hear a station. I bought the sdrplay2 to receive stations. Not to study the whole afternoon on manuals etc. So this thing now s in a box and is ready for the next garage sale!

well that's on you. This is not the same as commercial radio where you buy a box, turn it on and interesting stuff plays. This is HAM radio which requires lots of study to set things up to hear what you want to hear. I have been studying for 6 months to get this thing set up in a useful way. If you don't enjoy that, then just buy a scanner for hundreds of dollars/euros more.

@@greggump9923 Hello Gregg. I guess you are right! These things are not suitable for buying and listening in a few minutes!

DAB works very well with sdr uno but there is no way to tune into DAB + stations. I did everything twice to no avail.

Thanks for explaining the DAB+. However I seem to have something weird happening. I run the DAB plugin and do a full scan and it finds 55 stations, all good. But then I noticed that the SDRuno MAIN has switched to Antenna A. I haven't got any antenna in A or B only in ANT C. Also it is locked on A or B and I can't select C. Any solution would be gratefully accepted.

The antenna C port is only for use below 200MHz. Many of the DAB transmissions are above 200MHz so SDRuno automatically cuts antenna C when it scans above 200MHz. You need to use the antenna A or B port. (you may need a BNC to SMA adapter for this) - I just added a note to warn others - many thanks for raising this :-)

How do I change the frequencies the DAB plugin scans? It appears to scan frequencies between 174.9Mhz-239Mhz. Need to change it for NA frequencies. The scanlist.txt file is empty so I don't know the format. I also can't find it in the DAB plugin document. Seems like a nice tool but right now I can't use it.

Thank you for the reply. I do already have an adapter. Would it it be OK to leave it on either A or B all the time even for Air Band and HF. Also how do I view all the Air Band range at the same time as the Zoom only seems to do 3Mhz fully zoomed out. I have read somewhere that you can view up 10Mhz at a time but I can't find how to do it. Sorry to be a dummy!

Hi again, A and B are just as good as C for all frequencies (The limitation on C is purely that we cut off operation above 200MHz due to losses of the BNC connector spec for UHF and above) To get maximum spectrum visibility, choose ZIF (zero IF mode) - so don't use the preset band frame button. Then you can pan out to see up to 10MHz in one go (about half the total (VHF) air-band). I recommend joining one of the forums (Facebook, Groups.io etc.) You can get lots more detailed help there... www.sdrplay.com/communitylinks/

The video shows V1.1 of the plugin - where can I get the update from V1.00? I cabt find it in the usual places.
@SDRplayRSP4 жыл бұрын
It will come if you update to the latest version of SDRuno (V1.40.1) from www.sdrplay.com/sdruno/ (We plan to upgrade our downloads page to include a plugins section in the next week or so to enable independent download of plugins and plugins upgrades as needed)

Does it play freeview TV?

no we don't have a plugin for terrestrial TV broadcasts

just curious, when you record the DAB signal does the software decode the music (mp3)? and then pipe the mp3 to the file or does it decode the DAB audio stream, then in turn encode into mp3 it for recording. I suspect its the latter.
@SDRplayRSP4 жыл бұрын
The audio recorder demo plugin records the decoded audio coming from the DAB plugin
