If you want to look beyond downtown Belgrade, the biggest park in the city is Košutnjak at 330ha (820 acres). Next to it is another park, Topčider with about 28ha (32 acres). If you have the means, you could visit Great War Island on Danube which is also reasonably large. More easily accessed park is the Ada Ciganlija on Sava river. Ada is a term used to denote a river island. Ada Ciganlija was an island but has been joined to southern bank to form a lake. In summer, it is a VERY popular destination and I am sure it is already a well visited place with spring coming up. The park has lots of walking paths and barge restaurants and private floating weekend houses.

Behind the st. Marks cathedral, there is a Russian orthodox church. In 1921, the Russian imperial guard and a number of civilians found refuge in Serbia after the October revolution and the civil war. They have built that church in 1920s and the CO of the Russian imperial guard, general Vrangel, is laid to rest there.

One is very close to your apartment, on the very beginning of Balkanska street. You can google it for directions. @@dabbleandtravel actually Kajmak is made similarly as clotted cream like Devonshire or Cornish. The milk clot(cream-fat +protein particles) is scooped out and collected. The difference is in Serbia it is salted and aged so it is savoury comparing to Dev. clotted cream which is sweet. The process is labour intensive. Kajmak can be fresh or they call it "young" in Serbia, aged up to 7 days, tastes more like salted Danish style butter, and other type is aged longer, several weeks heavily salted, more pungent in taste and it is called an "old" kajmak. "Old" kajmak is commonly made in Western Serbia and mountains.
