About Nicktendo... His "animation" technically *is* animation, as long as it's a moving picture with frames, it's animation. Does it suck? Yes, and Is it bad? Also yes, but it doesn't require something a whole lot just to be an animation. Also, I forgot about Jeffy's Switcheroo, so much so I still have no memory of watching the video. As far as I'm aware, this is the first time I've heard of it.

2018 SML was just beyond mediocre, The good videos weren't that good and the bad videos weren't that bad, It's all just... meh I honestly can't put together a Top 5 list for any of them besides the best, It's all for the most part just meh, So I'll give my thoughts on your picks instead. Best: 5. Bowser's Mistake - Yeah, This one was pretty funny 4. Chef Pee Pee's Restaurant - I agree, This video was pretty decent 3. The Costume Contest - Yeah, I enjoyed this one 2. The Asteroid - Good choice, This and the next video are probably the only ones I consider legitimately GOOD 1. Bowser Junior's Daddy Problem - Yep, Easily the best video of 2018, Really enjoyed this one Meh: 5. Jeffy's Paper Shredder - I forgot this video existed a week after it came out, I have nothing to say. 4. The Watch - I don't remember this one that much, I guess it was alright 3. Jeffy's Sister Returns - I wasn't big on this video, It's alright 2. Jeffy Gets A Job - I liked the bit where the guy got fired and slammed his hat on the ground... That's about it 1. Jeffy's Switcheroo - This one sucked Worst: 5. Chef Pee Pee Pees Peas - At number 5? This is easily a number 2 for me, I HATED this video. It was just the same joke over and over and OVER AGAIN, And the joke itself WAS NOT FUNNY. Horrible video 4. Jeffy's KZbin Channel - I actually... Thought this one was pretty alright, It wasn't great or anything, But it wasn't terrible, Chef Pee Pee Pees Peas was much worse 3. Jeffy's Biggest Fear - This one was awful, A lot of the scenes in this one went on for WAY too long, And the joke itself just wasn't funny, I hated this one 2. Jeffy's Lunch Money - I skipped this one, So I have nothing to say. 1. Jeffy's Sleepover - Yeah, That Nicktendo segment alone ruined this video, It was already boring as it is, That just made it worse And there's my thoughts... SML 2018 was just a big hunk of NOTHING, Most of the good videos weren't even that good, They were decent at best and they don't live up to the good videos from years prior, Even 2017 had much better good videos. Aside from Bowser Junior's Daddy Problem and The Asteroid, The rest of the good videos are just decent. 2018 may have not had that many bad videos, But at least bad videos are memorable, A majority of the meh videos are extremely forgettable and void. Dabhdude can I just say Thank You for bringing up the Nicktendo video. It kills me when people say nice job on the "ANIMATION" on his channel and how on my other channel I actually put effort into frames. I don't have them just talk they move. I did before have a few vids where it just was talking with lip sync and it was boring so I remade it but still it was weird. So then I made another video with hand drawn and it would be better. After I made another animation and that one had some handdrawn not completely. I decided to bring back all hand drawn animation instead. Thanks for bringing this up I really appreciate how much you care about regular animators.

Oughhh this really makes me mad for #1, Because i agree with you. I animate frame by frame myself, and i dislike Nicktendo, since he basically traces over a single picture of the puppets and makes their mouths move. Thats it. And Logan decided for him to animate instead of someone like Micheal B., who makes incredible animations of SML, and LOGAN HAD ACKNOWLEDGED HES SEEN THEM AND LIKES THEM. No, i know why he chose nicktendo. Its because he can make them fast. Just because he makes them in a day does not mean they are good or that hes extremely talented. (My opinion) Top 5 WORST of SML 2018: 5. Jeffy's Switcheroo - Boring and overused idea. 4. Chef Pee Pee Pees Peas - Boring and completely unfunny. 3. Jeffy's KZbin Channel - Uninteresting and a bit cringy if I were to be honest. Also a Jeffy reskin of Bowser Junior's KZbin Channel. 2. Jeffy's Sleepover - Too much filler and the Nicktendo animation ruined the video for me. Dishonorable Mentions (Worst): 1. Jeffy Gets Expelled 2. Jeffy's Birthday Surprise 3. How Black Yoshi Stole Christmas 4. Bowser Junior Gets Jinxed 5. Jeffy's Clone 1. Cody's Favorite Game - You can tell why this is at number 1. It's a complete advertisement, and other details. Plus, this video can get Logan in a bunch of trouble by having Nintendo characters advertising something not Nintendo. Top 5 BEST of SML 2018: 5. Bowser Junior's Bad News! - Different plot idea, funny jokes, and the trio's song was pretty good, and even with a plot idea like Toys R Us closing forever, Junior is actually tolerable and doesn't act like a brat. 4. Bowser Junior's Daddy Problem - Funny jokes, the songs were good, and the plot/idea was different for a change. 3. Black Yoshi's Call of Duty Loan! - Black Yoshi video, funny moments, different premise, and No-little Jeffy scenes for filler reasons. 2. The Asteroid - Well thought out and original plot/idea for SML, Woody and Black Yoshi return, funny jokes from Woody, the bad ways shown of dealing with the Asteroid, and it shows variety of characters. Only thing keeping this from #1 is the Jeffy filler. Honorable Mentions (Best): 1. The Costume Contest 2. Bowser's Mistake 3. Zombie Bowser 4. Cody's Mistake 5. Black Yoshi's Job Interview 1. Dab, I think you’re kind of letting your anger for Nicktendo get the better of you when you called “Jeffy’s Sleepover” the worst video of 2018. Not only was the video not that bad, funny in some cases, but we’ve had much worse like “Jeffy’s Switcheroo”, “Fat Jeffy”, and “Bowser Jr. Almost Goes to Sleep Forever.” I don’t like Nickento’s animations, you don’t like them, and I honestly think most others don’t like them either, but THEY ARE animations because they have the illusion of movement. Yes, many can consider them animatics, but animatics are more or less a stage of animation that can be decided upon by the creator. Nicktendo just happens to be bad at animations. Picture a professional artist who makes jaw dropping art. Picture a person who just casual picks up a pencil to make art whenever he feels like it; I bet it looks like butt, but it’s still art, just not good art. The same can be said about Nicktendo’s animations.

Here's something from Ibuki: #1 Best. The Asteroid. #1 Meh. Jeffy's Sister Returns. #1 Worst. Jeffy's Driver License. Ibuki gets help from Nagito, Hiyoko, and Kazuichi. Hit it you guys. Nagito: What was so good about The Asteroid is that we get to see Woody again after a year though he was brought up in the middle and that little brat was the typical obnoxious and the black one being used for one scene. Hiyoko: As if ugly, what was that scientist guy even was on when he made that boring old machine that turned the giant rock into a giant shrimp, whatever he's on, I want it. Kazuichi: Amazing video. Nagito: Where would I begin, ok that kid with Jeffy was just plain annoying like always especially that voice of his, sure Feebee's death was meant to fill me with despair but it was poorly done and forced . Hiyoko: Squish squish, since when did that dirtbag get a sister, was it problems with genetics or a freak accident that left his mother in shambles like the ugly pig Mikan is. Kazuichi: I don't know. My favorite SML video of 2018 was "SML Movie: The Costume Contest," and "SML Movie: The Asteroid." When I saw those videos, I was so happy to see a few of the old characters.

I skipped Jeffy's Switcharoo the day it came out, I still haven't watched it, and I don't plan to ever watch it. I was getting really sick of Jeffy at this point, and the only good Jeffy videos are, in my opinion, the ones where he plays a minor role while another character, normally a good one like Shrek, Woody, or Black Yoshi, took center stage. As for Jeffy's Sleepover, I as an animator myself, while I wasn't very good at first, I've improved quite a bit over just one year, and looking at the Nicktendo animations now, I feel insulted by how SML considered his animations "professional." I went back and looked at some of my older ones to see how they've aged after one year and can't even stand to watch them. I don't even want to upload any of them except for a few I want to archive to show how far I've come because of how little effort I put into those videos, and then I looked at Nicktendo's; all I saw was a channel built off of videos like my old ones, rushed, hard to look at, and overall terrible quality, just with hand drawn animation rather than stop-motion. I'm appalled that he managed to get so popular when BioTubers like Shade2800, Noah Productions, and TheShadowedOne1 put loads of effort into their own videos and only have about 10-20K subscribers each. KZbin has dealt animation channels an unfair hand in my opinion, and Nicktendo's popularity is evidence of that. And if Nicktendo is reading this, I don't mean to be hard on you for your content, you're allowed to make whatever you want on this site as long as it doesn't violate KZbin's community guidelines, but you need to put a lot more effort in, and tat requires time and energy. Mark my words, I've tried rushing out daily videos, and they've aged as well as polio in my opinion

and now for my take on this list... overall best of 2018: Black Yoshi's Call Of Duty Loan. i had a really hard time deciding over this, and The Asteroid. but in the end, i personally found The Loan, to be funnier. (no offense) most of the characters and jokes were funny (i especially liked the self-aware COD ad at the start, and Brooklyn kidnapping cookie monster) the highlight for me was Black Yoshi getting UPS'ED all over the place! overall meh of 2018: the Switcheroo You're opinion is as good as mine, it's a boring rehash of the previous switching Bodies videos, that adds nothing new. (kinda like the New Super Mario Bros. series if you think about it...) bottom line: if you want a good body-swap plot, go watch Fairy Tail's "Changeling" episode. it has everything this doesn't, and more... overall worst of 2018: Jeffy's Energy Drink (sigh) if you're wondering why i chose this over J's Sleepover, it's because nobody talks about this garbage... (though to be fair, both videos suffer from filler. but at least J's sleepover had something going for it ((even if that "something" was animation worse than 12 OZ. Mouse))) it just feels so bland, and rushed. like they made up the plot as they went along, most notably the way they killed off Jeffy and Jr., plus the ending... just don't watch it.... ya like my opinion?
